The Mahanoy Township Police have identified the victim in a fatal off-road crash overnight.
According to Mahanoy Township Police Chief Brandon Alexander, just after 11:00pm, Saturday, emergency personnel were called to Brandonville Road in Mahanoy Township, between Mahanoy City and Brandonville, on Mahanoy Water Authority Property in the area behind the Number 1 Dam for an ATV accident.
Chief Alexander said a side-by-side rolled over hitting an embankment pinning two underneath. One of the victims, identified as John Harrison, 33, of Lansford, died at the scene.
Deputy Schuylkill County Coroner Andrew Szczyglak pronounced Harrison dead at the scene.
Chief Alexander said the crash is still under investigation.
