Hazleton Police took a man into custody on Monday after he was found with drugs and other paraphernalia.
According to Hazleton Police, the Hazleton Police Narcotics Detectives and HPD Patrol conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for several equipment and moving violations along East Broad Street on Monday, September 8, 2020 resulting in several arrests.
Dakota M. Schoch, 22, of White Haven was taken into custody and found to be in possession of 266 packets of heroin and/or fentanyl, 3.5 grams of methamphetamine, several prescription pills, a digital scale, packaging materials, over $676.00 in US Currency, and $80.00 in counterfeit bills.
Schoch was charged with felony possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, several counts of possession of controlled substances, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He failed to post bail which was set at $50,000.00 and remanded to the Luzerne County Correctional Facility.
Two female occupants of the vehicle were also charged for drug and drug paraphernalia violations.
