A Pennsylvania State Police Trooper was injured after responding to a call on Friday.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven, on Friday, September 25th, 2020 just before 3:00am, Troopers responded to a home on Trumbo Road in Pine Grove Township for a report of a disturbance.
Police say, upon arriving at the scene, Brandon Mearian, 22, of Pine Grove became agitated and confrontational with Troopers.
Mearian approached one of the Troopers in an aggressive manner and attempted to grab the Trooper by the jacket.
Mearian reportedly continued to struggle with the Trooper until being taken into custody. During the struggle, the Trooper suffered unspecified injuries.
Later Friday, Mearian was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Rossi on charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and harassment.
Mearian was locked up in Schuylkill County Prison unable to post $100,000 straight cash bail.
