A Westmoreland County man is locked up in Schuylkill County Prison after an incident over the weekend.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven, on Saturday, September 26th, 2020, around 5:30am, Christopher Hoessler, 26, of Vandergrift, PA contacted the Schuylkill Haven Barracks to report that he was being followed by multiple people and was currently near the Raceway on Molleystown Road in Tremont Township.
Police told Hoessler to remain at the location until Troopers arrived.
Hoessler then left the scene traveling north on Interstate 81, and exited at Exit 107. When doing so, Hoessler struck a concrete divider resulting in a flat tire and front end damage.
He continued on Route 209 until his vehicle became disabled in front of a home in Porter Township.
Hoessler then smashed a front window of the home and entered. The owner of the home called 911 to report the incident and when Troopers arrived, they found Hoessler on the second floor yelling from a window.
Hoessler was taken into custody without incident and appeared to be under the influence of a drug and was experiencing extreme paranoia.
Hoessler was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge James Reiley on charges of Burglary, criminal trespassing, DUI, Criminal Mischief, and multiple traffic violations.
After being arraigned he was locked up in Schuylkill County Prison unable to post $15,000 straight cash bail.
