Elderly Woman Loses Over $6,000 in Phone Scam Involving Apple Account

A woman from Schuylkill County lost over $6,000 through a phone scam involving an Apple account.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven, on October 16th, 2020, around 8:45pm, a 79 year old woman from the Porter Township area received a phone call from an unidentified male that her Apple accounts were compromised.  The victim followed the request of the caller and providdr her personal information.

The victim's bank accounts were hacked and lost $6,386.00.
