On Friday night, it was the Williams Valley Vikings over the Mahanoy Area Golden Bears when the two teams met in Mahanoy City.
Williams Valley took the lead early in the game but it Mahanoy who stayed on the Vikings heels throughout the night.
At the half, the Vikings held the lead but only by 2 with the score at 14-12.
Williams Valley would score twice more and Mahanoy once with a score of 28-20 with 6 minutes still left in the game.
The Vikings would hold and take home the win.
