A Shenandoah man is facing charges after he fled police during a traffic stop.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, on September 21st, 2020, around 12:30am, troopers conducted a traffic stop on Coal Street near the intersection with Locust Street in Shenandoah.
Police say during the stop, the driver, Jonathan Zamudio, 36, of Shenandoah displayed signs of impairment.
While police were identifying him, Zamudio fled on foot on Coal Street, then Locust Street, and Penn Street before he was taken into custody.
The further check of Zamudio led to the finding that he had an arrest warrant from the Columbia County Sheriff's Office.
Zamudio was taken into custody and locked up in Schuylkill County Prison to await being taken to Columbia County on the warrant.
State Police filed additional charges of DUI, Fleeing and Eluding Police, and other violations through Magisterial District Judge Kilker's office.
