Glenn Eldon Miller
, 92, of Andreas, PA, died on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at home. He was the husband of Helen Jean Miller to whom he was married 55 years at the time of her death in 2014. 

Born in New Mahoning, PA on August 24, 1928, Glenn was a son of the late Russell D. and Sarah Irene (nee Pinkerton) Miller. A 1947 graduate of Lehighton High School, he co-owned a hardware store in Mahoning Valley. In 1964, Glenn purchased the M&S Hardware Store in Tamaqua, PA. He owned the HVAC firm known as Glenn E. Miller, Inc. Glenn was a member of Christ Free Church, Lehighton, PA where he served as a deacon and for over 50 years was a Sunday School assistant. He was a volunteer with the Mahoning Valley Fire Company and an avid reader of the Times News. A generous, patient, and social gentleman, Glenn loved family and all people. He would spend Sunday afternoons visiting with folks, especially those in nursing homes. 

Glenn is survived by children, Todd Miller and his wife Cindy of Andreas, Melanie Dillman and her husband Ben of Andreas, and Trevor Miller and his wife Carol of Lehighton, PA; grandchildren, Lauren Miller, Tyler Miller and his wife Alyssa, Morgan Miller, Tarynn Mecir and her husband Michael, Emma Dillman, Mikayla James and her husband Louis, Ethan Miller, Alison Miller, Aaron Miller, and Ella Miller; great grandchild, Kylo Miller; sisters, Loise Fritz of the Mahoning Valley and Maureen Eckman of Hershey, PA; a nephew; and 3 nieces. He was predeceased by a son, Kyle Miller and his wife, Amy in 1996 and a brother, Burton R. Miller. 

Services are private at the convenience of the family. Memorials in Glenn’s name may be made to St. Luke’s Hospice - Development Office, 801 Ostrum Street, Bethlehem, PA 18015 OR Child Evangelism Fellowship, P.O. Box 73 Lehighton, PA 18235. 

Arrangements are being handled by the Zizelmann-Gulla Funeral Home, 500 East Broad Street, Tamaqua, PA and the Hartman Funeral Home, 1791 West Penn Pike, New Ringgold, PA.

Fredric G. Michalac
, 69, of Tamaqua, PA, died on Saturday, October 17, 2020, at home. He was the husband of Sandra L. (nee Russell) Michalac to whom he was married 38 and a half years at the time of her death on August 22, 2020. 

Born in Coaldale, PA on November 25, 1950, Fredric was a son of the late Ferdinand and Pauline (nee Pavolvcak) Michalac. A graduate of the former Lansford High School, he retired from the Bemis Corporation, Hazleton, PA. Prior to working for Bemis, Fredric worked for Bruce Snyder Masonry. He was an avid hunter. 

Fredric is survived by children, Dennis Wickersham and his wife, Melissa of Tamaqua, Anthony Wickersham and his wife, Rose Marie of Kelayres, PA, Joseph Wickersham and his wife, Martha of Sugarloaf, PA, daughter, Sherri Michalac of Medford, NJ, and Fred Michalac of Sinking Springs, PA; grandchildren, Kayla Wickersham, Rebecca Wickersham, Madison Wickersham, Nathan Wickersham, and Anthony Wickersham; a nephew; and a niece. 

He was predeceased by sister, Dolly Rex. Services will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at the Zizelmann-Gulla Funeral Home, 500 East Broad Street, Tamaqua. Interment in Sky View Memorial Park, Hometown, PA will follow. Call 10-11 AM at the funeral home. Harold “Hal” G. Schneider, Jr.
, 79, of Minersville, passed away on Saturday at Schuylkill Center.

Born on May 2, 1941 in Pottsville, he was the son of the late Marian Connelly Schneider and the late Harold “Hal” G. Schneider, Sr. He was a 1959 graduate of Minersville High School; and was an Air Force veteran. A second-generation plumber, Hal owned and operated Minersville Plumbing and Heating until retiring.

He was a former member of the Minersville Lions.

Preceding him in death was a son, Keith Schneider, in 2017.

Hal is survived by a son, Erich Schneider (spouse, Deb), Harrisburg; a grandson, Alex Meade (fiancée, Ashley); two sisters, Catherine Childs, Downingtown, and Hildred Gemmell (spouse, James), Malvern; his former wife, Camille DeStefano, Minersville; his daughter-in-law, Robyn Schneider, Arizona; nieces and nephews.

The family will accept visitors on Saturday from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. at Dutcavich Funeral Home, 200 Sunbury Street, Minersville. Private interment will be in Mount Peace Cemetery, Branch Township.
