The rain didn't stop the Ashland Veterans from gathering and meeting for their annual service at the Veteran's Monument near the Mother's Memorial on Wednesday.
The members marched from 5th and Centre Street with the honor guard to the intersection of Hoffman Boulevard and Centre Street while being led by Ashland Police Chief Ger Daley.
At the monument, a short 10 minute service was held where a prayer was read and Ashland Mayor Ray Walacavage thanked all Veterans for their service.
The service concluded with a gun salute and the playing of Taps.
