HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: North Schuylkill Ends Tamaqua's Season in First Round of District XI Playoffs

North Schuylkill entered the playoffs undefeated and they brought that momentum Saturday night at home in Spartan Stadium.

In the blink of an eye, the Spartans had the lead 21-0 at the end of the first quarter and pushed the lead to 27-0 before Tamaqua got on the board during the second quarter.

The Spartan offense would attack on all fronts throughout the entire game through Quarterback Jake Hall, Running Back Josh Chowansky, and receivers Joey Flail and Tanner Walacavage.

North Schuylkill's defense took advantage of Tamaqua's mistakes throughout the game with two interceptions and two fumble recoveries.

The Raiders did not go quietly with running back Lucas Schickram scoring on two long drives during the 2nd and 3rd quarter and a breakaway 55 yard run by tailback Nate Curvey during the fourth quarter.

The game would end with a score of 56-21 and North Schuylkill moving on to face Notre Dame of Green Pond at Northwestern Lehigh on Saturday night at 7:00pm.  The Tamaqua Raiders end their season with a record of 5-4.
