National Guard Assisting Ridgeview Healthcare near Shenandoah

This week, the National Guard began assisting the Ridgeview Healthcare Facility near Shenandoah.

According to LTC Keith Hickox, State Public Affairs Officer for the Pennsylvania National Guard, on Monday, the Pennsylvania National Guard started a staffing support mission at Ridgeview Healthcare, located on Pennsylvania Avenue in Shenandoah Heights, West Mahanoy Township.

LTC Hickox said that the support team consists of about 15 soldiers and airmen including a registered nurse, medics and general support. 

Hickox also reported that since April, the Pa. National Guard has conducted 25 staffing support missions at long-term care facilities throughout Pennsylvania. These missions are initially planned for about a week and extended based on the need.
