“I am sincerely grateful and honored to learn of my appointment by President Donald J. Trump, to serve as a Member of the President’s Export Council. I am also deeply appreciative, to Congressman Dan Meuser, 9th Congressional District, for suggesting my candidacy for this Presidential appointment to the President of the United States,” said Robert S. Carl, Jr., president and CEO of the Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce.
According to the International Trade Administration, the President’s Export Council serves as the principal national advisory committee on international trade. The Council advises the President of government policies and programs that affect U.S. trade performance; promotes export expansion; and provides a forum for discussing and resolving trade-related problems among the business, industrial, agricultural, labor, and government sectors.
Carl added, “I look forward to working with the President on the Export Council and representing the Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce and our 730 members. It will be my sincere honor and privilege to serve President Donald J. Trump, on the President’s Export Council.”
