According to Hazleton Police, on November 10, 2020, at approximately 4:52 pm, Hazleton City Narcotics Detectives along with the Marked Patrol Division observed Joshua Conti, 30, Ringtown, commit a traffic infraction for not using a turn signal on the Harley Davidson motorcycle he was operating.
At this time marked units attempted to conduct a traffic stop on Conti at which time he led police on a pursuit through the city where he eventually lost control of the motorcycle at 2nd and Peace Streets.
Officers attempted to take Conti into custody at which time he would not show officers his hands and resisted officers.
It was later learned after Conti was in custody that he was in possession of a loaded 9mm Taurus firearm in his jacket pocket that was not registered to him nor was he licensed to carry this weapon. It was also learned he was operating a stolen motorcycle and had displayed a different registration in an attempt to conceal that it was stolen.
Conti did suffer injuries as a result of the crash and was later transported to Lehigh Valley Cedar Crest in Allentown. Detectives prepared an arrest warrant for Conti but he fled from security personnel at the hospital in Allentown and is considered a wanted subject. He is believed to be in the Hazleton/Schuylkill County area. He should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone who knows of his whereabouts is asked to call 911.
Conti stands five feet, eight inches tall, think build, brown hair, brown eyes and will have an injury to the right side of his face under his eye from the crash. He also has a full beard as compared to his photo.

Conti is facing charges of Felony Receiving Stolen Property, Firearms not to be carried without a license, Resisting arrest and fleeing and eluding along with several traffic violations.
