Each year, the Ashland Rotary organizes the borough's Santa parade ending with the lighting of the borough's Christmas Tree.
Santa's journey in Ashland on Saturday evening, started at 21st and Walnut Street and with the help of the Ashland Police, American Hose Company and the Washington Fire Company, escorted him through the borough.
The parade traveled down Walnut Street and ended at the intersection of Hoffman Boulevard and Centre Street where Santa made a stop at the borough's 25 foot tall Christmas tree and officially lit it to kick off the holiday season in the borough.
Afterwards, Santa took photos with children in front of the Mother's Memorial, as they dropped off their Christmas Lists.
Santa's elves from the Ashland Rotary provided gifts for all the children that attended.
The 2020 Ashland Christmas Tree is a Blue Spruce and was donated by David Hampton of Butler Township.
The Ashland Rotary specifically thanks the three PPL employees that donated their time in transporting the tree and setting it up on their own time last weekend.
Members from the Washington Fire Company assisted with decorating the tree last Sunday.
