Rosanne M. Dutton, 77, Ashland, passed away peacefully Saturday afternoon surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Locustdale, she was a daughter of the late William and Regina Spieles Blase. She worked as an elementary school teacher having last been employed by Immaculate Heart, Girardville.

Rosanne was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Parish, Ashland. She enjoyed bowling and playing computer games. She had a great love for animals especially her pet cats.

Rosanne had an inseparable bond with her five sisters.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Charles Robert Scragg in 1976 and a granddaughter Brianne Homola.

Rosanne is survived by her husband of 34 years, Samuel H. Dutton, Ashland; a daughter, Charmaine Homola and her husband Steve, Mowry; her two sons: Charles Robert (Robbie) Scragg Jr., West Palm Beach, FL; John Scragg and his wife Celia, Canton, GA; her 6 siblings: Jeannie Reiner and her husband Barry of Cicero, NY; Patricia Medlinsky and her husband Buddy of Orwigsburg; Maryanne Balcavage and her husband Frank of Ashland; Bernadette Moran and her husband Ed of Ashland; William Blase and his wife Donna of Ashland; Ruthanne Weikel and her husband Tom of Gowen City; her grandchildren: Steven Homola and his wife Patricia of Baltimore, MD; Anna and Will Scragg of Canton, GA; several nieces and nephews.

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Edward J. Bassininsky, Sr., 69, of Ramtown, Branch Township, passed away on Friday at home.

Born on February 14, 1951 in Pottsville, he was a son of the late Edward W. Bassininsky and the late Regina Helen O’Brien Bassininsky. He attended Minersville schools and worked as a heavy equipment operator on construction and in surface mining of anthracite coal.

He was predeceased by three siblings, James D. O’Brien, Kenneth Bassininsky Sr. and Jane F. O’Brien.

He is survived by his best friend of 36 years, his wife, the former Barbara Lucas; six children, Joseph Bassininsky (spouse, Jessica), Friedensburg, Edward J. Bassininsky, Jr., Somerset, Toni Moyer, Lincoln, Tremont Township, Laurie Davis, Ramtown, Leonard Davis, Muir, and Kelly Reinohl (spouse, Gary), Molleystown, Tremont Township; twelve grandchildren, Joseph Bassininsky, Jr., Jared, Justin, Trevor, James and Jake Bassininsky, Jeremy Bassininsky, Sara Moyer, Chad, Zachary and Samantha Kohr, and Joshua Reinohl, Sr.; four great-grandchildren, Hannah Moyer, Heath and Bentley Livergood, and Joshua Reinohl, Jr. He is also survived by a sister, Lisa Bassininsky, Branchdale; nieces and nephews.

The family will hold a private graveside memorial service to be determined at a later date.

Gladys I. Zehner
, beloved mother, grammy of Golf Road, Tamaqua, Pennsylvania passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2020, at Mahoning Valley Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Ctr. in Lehighton at 93 years of age.

Born Friday, July 8, 1927 in Mantzville the daughter of the late William and Sarah (Mertz) Steigerwalt. She was also predeceased by her husband in 1992, Paul H. Zehner; sisters, Florence Hoppes, and Mildred Hoppes.

Surviving are; daughter, Elizabeth I. Breiner wife of Ernest of Tamaqua; son, David R. Zehner and his wife Linda of Walnutport; grand children, Ernest Breiner and his wife Jordie, Ethan Breiner and his wife Julie, Amanda O'Connor and her husband Matt; 6 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive Gladys.

Gladys is a member of St. Peter's Church of Mantzville. She attended St. Peters School until 8th grade. Gladys worked the farm with Paul, and they owned Zehners Pizza & Hoagie's, a stand which has operated at the Leesport and Mahoning Valley Farmers Markets for over 60 years. Gladys worked the stand into her early 80's, and also helped at their mower repair business Zehners Mowers of Mantzville. Gladys enjoyed crocheting, and crafts; however, she loved the serenity of mowing the grass.

A Funeral service will be held on Wednesday morning November 4, 2020 at 11 o'clock AM from the funeral home. Friends may call on the morning, of from 9:30 A.M. until time of services.
