Twardzik, Candidate for the 123rd, Tests Positive for COVID-19

Tim Twardzik, candidate for the 123rd District, announced on Sunday that he, and his wife Carol, have tested positive for COVID-19.

Twardzik made the announcement public via social media.

The announcement comes two days before election day, Tuesday, November 3rd, 2020.

Twardzik, a Republican, is running against PJ Symons, a Democrat, for Representative Neal Goodman's seat in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.

Like far too many of our friends and neighbors, Carol and I received word at 4:30 this afternoon that we’ve tested positive for COVID-19. Regrettably, this effectively ends public appearances through Election Day and for the quarantine period beyond November 3. We’re grateful that the symptoms are relatively mild, and this interruption gives us some unexpected quiet toward the end of a rather intense year on the campaign trail.

This news fills our hearts with renewed thankfulness for the frontline, essential workers—especially in healthcare—who are confronting this pandemic with courage. Our prayers and gratitude are with them, and the families in their care.

Sincerely

--Tim
