Recently, Schuylkill County officials announced that they would be ending the county's Recycling Program by the end of 2020.
According to Schuylkill County Commissioner Baron Hetherington, the ending of the program was due to the county losing money from it. Hetherington reported that the county was losing up to $45,000 monthly.
During a recent work session of the Schuylkill County Commissioners, the question was brought up on when the bins in each of the participating municipalities would be removed.
The question was not directly answered, just that they would be removed by the end of the year.
Last this week, we got an answer when a schedule was announced.
