A Delano man is facing charges after an incident that led to him assaulting two State Troopers.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, on Monday, December 21st, 2020, just before 11:00pm, Troopers responded to Pine Street in Delano for a report of a disturbance.
An investigation found Charles Cunningham, 49, of Delano to be under the influence of alcohol.
Two Troopers attempted to take Cunningham into custody when he began fighting with them and make threats toward them and their families.
Once in custody, he was transported to the Frackville barracks where he damaged a wall by kicking it.
The Troopers sustained minor injuries during the incident.
Cunningham was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge James Ferrier on charges of assault and vandalism and was locked up in Schuylkill County Prison unable to post $25,000 initially.
He was later released on December 23rd, 2020 after posting bail.
