One Flown After Early Morning Crash near High Ridge on Friday

A man was injured in an early morning crash on Friday morning near the High Ridge Industrial Park.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, the crash occurred around 4:30am at the intersection of Keystone Boulevard and High Ridge Park Road in Cass Township.

Troopers say the crash occurred as Andrew Slovick, 32, of Minersville approach the intersection traveling north and veered to the left over the center median and struck a traffic light pole.

Slovick's Toyota Rav4 continued to slide through the intersection before coming to a rest in the southbound lane.

Slovick was entrapped in the vehicle until Minersville Fire, Yorkville Fire, and Heckscherville Fire was able to extricate him.

Minersville EMS provided care on the scene and transported him to a waiting Geisinger Life Flight helicopter and transported him to Danville with unknown injuries.

Trail Towing assisted at the scene with removal of the vehicle.
