She was a daughter of the late Theodore and Margaret (nee Blackwell) Snyder.
A 1965 graduate of Tamaqua High School, Peggy turned down a job in Washington, DC to stay locally and raise a family. She worked for the former Morgan Knitting Mills, raising her three sons alone. Peggy was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Tamaqua where she helped with the rummage sales. An avid reader, Peggy also enjoyed trips to the casinos.
She is survived by sons, Barry Brode, David Brode, and John Brode and his wife Karen all of Tamaqua; 6 grandchildren; brothers, Ronald L. Snyder and his wife Arminda of California and Randy Snyder and his wife Joanne of Barnesville, PA; sister, Caryle Boyer and her husband Donald of Wind Gap, PA; and many nieces and nephews.
Peggy was predeceased by brothers, Terry Snyder and Teddy and an infant sister, Lynn.
Services are private at the convenience of the family. Memorials in her name may be made to St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, 200 Mauch Chunk Street, Tamaqua, PA 18252.

Edward Francis Kalyan Sr., age 73, of Pottsville passed away Tuesday, December 8th, 2020 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, East in Pottsville from complications due to the COVID-19 virus.
Born in Pottsville, PA on July 18, 1947, he was the son of the late George and Matilda (Prokop) Kalyan. Ed was a graduate of Saint Clair High School, Class of 1965, where he played high school football and excelled as a baseball pitcher. He worked as a sales rep for first aid and safety supply companies for most of his career. Ed was a member of the St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church in Minersville and was very active with the former Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Saint Clair. Ed helped coach Pottsville Midget Football for over 35 years, as well as minor league baseball for Railway Park. He was an avid hunter and fisherman for most of his life. After retirement, Ed became a coin collector, loved going to the casino, and did a lot of traveling. He loved watching his grandsons’ sports games and band performances, and spending lots of time with his family. His family will miss him terribly this Christmas, but will continue their annual tradition of dunking Christmas cookies in his honor.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother George Kalyan. Ed is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Sharon F. (Bohr) Kalyan; three sons: Edward Kalyan Jr. and his wife Rachel, Michael Kalyan and his fiancé Heather McFadden, and Mark Kalyan and his wife Alexandra; his beloved five grandsons: Joshua, Nathan, Mason, Miles, and Maverick; a brother Ronald Kalyan Sr.; and brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and grand nephews.
Funeral Services and interment will be held private at this time and a Celebration of Life Service will be held in the coming Summer.

Mary Ellen (Galenis) Yesecavage, 91 formerly of Shenandoah passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at Saint Luke’s Hospital Miners Campus Skilled Nursing Facility, Coaldale.
Born in Lost Creek #2 on August 13, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Tessie (Vesuskie) Galenis.
She was a graduate of the former West Mahanoy Township High School and was also a graduate of the Empire School of Cosmetology, Pottsville.
Mary Ellen was a licensed beautician. Earlier in life, she owned and operated her own beauty shop in Girardville. Prior to her retirement, she worked for the former Mrs. Arnold’s Beauty Shop, Shenandoah.
She was a member of Divine Mercy Parish, Shenandoah formerly Saint George’s Church. Mary Ellen was often seen in the former King Kruller Donut Shop, Shenandoah socializing with her many friends. Above all and of most importance to her was spending time and enjoying the company of her family.
Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were here husband, Edward C. Yesecavage, Sr. in 1979; three sisters, Dorothy, Alice and Eleanor; and one brother, Edward.
Surviving are her son Edward C. Yescavage, Jr. and his wife Penny of Harrisburg; one grandson, EJ Yescavage of Coaldale; one great-grandson, Brayden; her niece and goddaughter, Carol Kalavage of Shenandoah; additional nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 14, 2020 at 10:00 am in Divine Mercy Church, 232 West Cherry Street, Shenandoah with Monsignor Ronald C. Bocian, Pastor as the celebrant. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Dawn Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights. A visitation for relatives and friends will be held on Monday morning from 9:00 am until 10:00 am at the church. All state and federal COVID-19 guidelines and regulations will be observed; masks and social distancing will be required.

Born in Pottsville September 8, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Mildred Tobias.
Joyce attended the Minersville School District. She worked at the Pottsville Hospital for 40 years in the housekeeping department.
She was a member of Schuylkill Church of the Brethren.
in addition to her parents, Joyce is predeceased by her first husband Clarence G. Dinger who passed away in 1975. She is also preceded in death by her sisters Novita, Beverly, and Marie along with her half-brother Darrell.
She is survived by her husband Stanley Adams and their son Ernest Adams husband to Rhiannon of Pine Grove. She is also survived by her stepchildren; Brigitte Mellen, Jodi Bombgardner, Nancy Smith, and Stanley Herr along with her twin sister Janet Bressler and sisters Nancy Tobias and Millie Stoner. In addition, Joyce is survived by grandchildren; Kris, Desirae, Shawnna, Ariel, Jensen, Logan, and Echo along with numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
