Alfred “Al” Buchinsky, 87, of Philadelphia, Pa passed away on Sunday, December 27th at his home surrounded by his loving family.Al was born in Shenandoah, Pa, and was the son of the late John and Julia “Skaudis” Buchinsky.
Further arrangements and complete obituary will be announced at a later date by the Oravitz Home for Funerals Inc, Shenandoah.

A graduate of Nativity B.V.M. High School, class of 1978. She also graduated in 1980 from Central Penn College with a degree in Accounting. While at Central Penn College, she did an internship at Central Pennsylvania Heart Association in Harrisburg, PA as a bookkeeper. She also received a degree in computers from Schuylkill Institute of Business and Technology in 2001.
She was formerly employed at Bon-Ton, Union Bank and Trust Company and retired from Ariela-Alpha International.
Barbara’s hobbies included walking, reading, and collecting key chains.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by grandparents, aunts, uncles, and a nephew David.
Barbara is survived by two brothers; John and Vincent, and three sisters; Theresa Chapman, wife of Michael, Christine, and Kathryn Carroll, wife of Michael, along with nieces and nephews.
A heartfelt debt of gratitude goes to her sister, Christine, for being her faithful and constant helper and best friend, being with Barb at doctor’s appointments, sitting with her through chemo, and doing housework when Barb was too sick to do it.
Barb was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Pottsville, where for a short time she was a Eucharistic Minister.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that remembrances and donations be sent to Hillside SPCA or the Pottsville Free Public Library.
Services have been entrusted to Grabowski Funeral Home and will be private at the convenience of the family. Internment will be in Schuylkill Memorial Park.

Born Monday, July 11, 1949 in Coaldale, the daughter of the late Clarence, and Helen M. (Laudenslager) Barron. She was also predeceased by her husband on Sept. 16, 2018 William P. Melchior; sister, Bonnie Barron; brother, Gerald W. Barron.
Surviving are; daughter, Kristy L. Melchior of Tamaqua; brothers, Alan R. Barron, Dennis L. Barron, Ricky G. Barron, Steven T. Barron and his wife Jolene, Duane Barron and his wife Michelle; sisters, Sandra Hill, wife of William, Holly L. Fredericks wife of Dave. Many nieces and nephews also survive Barb.
A 1967 Tamaqua Area High School graduate, Barb had worked in the Textile Industry, and then cleaned for Charlotte Solt Realty, and many local individuals. Barb was very talented. She crocheted, and was a gifted wood worker. She and Bill were members of the Tamaqua Historical Society, and active in the Tamaqua Save Our Station Project.
