William A. Conshue, 90, of Branch Township, passed away on Thursday at Renaissance Home – Pinebrook, Orwigsburg.

Born on October 29, 1930 in Minersville, he was a son of the late Anthony and Helen Stosilavage Conshue. He was a 1948 graduate of Minersville High School; and served in the Navy during the Korean War. He worked in local State Liquor Stores and was an independent office equipment repair technician.

He was a member of the former St. Francis of Assisi Church, Minersville, and its Holy Name Society; and was a current member of Holy Family Parish. He was also a life member of the New Minersville Fire Company, a life member of the Good Intent Hose Company #1, Llewellyn, and a member of the Pennsylvania Association of Retired State Employees. He enjoyed golfing.

He was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Conshue, on October 20, 2016; a brother, Robert Conshue, in 1980.

He is survived by his wife, the former Catherine Pahira, with whom he celebrated 67 years of marriage on Thanksgiving; three children, William T. Conshue (spouse, Taeson), San Antonio, Texas, Karen Murry (spouse, Nathan), Branch Township, and Mark Conshue (spouse, Sherri), Minersville; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.

Graveside services and military honors will be on Friday, December 18 at 1:00 P.M. in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, East Hanover Township. Attendees are expected to follow CDC guidelines. The family prefers donations to the Minersville Area Food Drive Committee, 529 Lytle St., Minersville, PA 17954.

Lisa A. Jacobs, 58, of Mount Carmel, passed away on Friday at home.

Born in Pottsville, she was a daughter of Nancy Brown Baver, Orwigsburg, and the late Floyd Baver. She attended Schuylkill Haven schools, and resided in Florida before returning to Schuylkill County. She resided in Mount Carmel since 2015.

She was first employed by the former Miss Pennsylvania Garment factory, Pottsville. She latered worked for a cleaning service while residing in Floria; and was last employed by Wegman’s Distribution Center, Cass Township, before becoming disabled.

In addition to her mother, Lisa is survived by her daughter, Krystle Nouzovsky (spouse, Nathaniel), Minersville; three grandchildren, Gavin, Aiden and Kamryn Nouzovsky; her former husband, Jacob “Jack” Jacobs, Mount Carmel. She is also survived by three siblings, Tammy Freewald, New Ringgold, Randy Baver, Schuylkill Haven, and Todd Baver, Schuylkill Haven; a niece, Allison Freewald; a nephew, Jeffrey Freewald.

Services are private.

Rosann Eileen Miller (nee Schade), Elizabethtown, died at Hershey Medical Center on December 4. She is survived by her husband Richard, her sons Matthew, married to Tina, and Andrew, whose wife is Brooke. Rosann's brothers are Richard, Steve, and Jeff, and her sister is Candace, whose companion is Timothy Hand.

Rosann was born in Sacramento, Pennsylvania in 1942 and attended school in Hubley until her family moved from the Hegins valley to Tower City. As a high school student, she worked at the hamburger shop of Gordie Brown, brother of the famous bandleader, Les Brown.

Also in Tower City, Rosann met her future husband. High school sweethearts, they married after his graduation from college, engaging in a love affair that lasted sixty years.

After her marriage to Richard, Rosann lived in the country near Elizabethtown, where she sold Avon for many years, after which she worked at Kmart, and then the Hershey Medical Center, where she spent fifteen years before retirement.

Rosann was a gifted person. She was a wonderful cook, a very good bowler, who once achieved a 300 game, a splendid seamstress, and the possessor of a superb sense of humor. Loving and kind, she had many friends, including three who were high school classmates; they stayed close throughout the years, enjoying each other's company, and often taking trips to the shore together.

She loved cats, and at her home in the country, fed many strays, enjoying the opportunity to take them to the veterinarian and have their lives made more healthful.

She and her husband were members of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Elizabethtown for more than fifty years. Because of the corona virus, she will have a memorial service there after the disease has been conquered and the danger to attendees is over. On Thursday, a service will be held at the Dimon Funeral Home in Tower City for family only. The pastor will be David Wolverton. Jill M Olmos, age 41, of Auburn, passed away unexpectedly Friday, December 4, 2020 at Lehigh Valley Hospital - E Norwegian, Pottsville.

She was born on Friday, July 13, 1979, in Pottsville, a daughter of Albert R Leininger and Alice M (Deeter) Leininger of Hegins.

She was a 1997 graduate of Tri-Valley High School.

Jill was a claims manager for CVS Health.

She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Pottsville.

Jill enjoyed cooking, baking, shopping, spending time with her family, and always doing things for others. She was a very thoughtful and caring person.

Surviving in addition to her parents are a daughter, Karlei A Olmos at home; a son, Camryn X Olmos at home; three sisters, Tara L Fath and her husband Chris of Tremont, Kelly A Lucas and her husband Corey of Hegins, and Allyse M Leininger of Hegins; a niece, Jessica L Fath of Tremont; and a nephew, Hayden E Lucas of Hegins.

LeRoy H Dunkelberger, age 95, of Hegins, passed away Saturday, December 5, 2020 at his residence.

He was born on Friday, March 27, 1925, in Hegins, a son of the late William H Dunkelberger and the late Maude E (Bateman) Dunkelberger.

He was a member of the class of 1944 of the former Hegins Twp High School.

He was a self employed electrician until his retirement .

LeRoy served in the US Army in Europe during World War II from 1943 to 1946. He was also taken as a prisoner of war in Czechoslovakia during his term of duty.

He was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church, Hegins.

He was also a member of VFW Post 8237 and American Legion Post 575 both of Valley View, a social member of VFW Post 3432 Pine Grove.

LeRoy enjoyed watching John Wayne movies and was an avid cat lover.

He was preceded in death by his parents; by a step son, Jeffrey J Snyder, and a nephew, James Geist.

He is survived by his wife Mary A (Frieling) Dunkelberger, to whom he was married for 34 years.

He is also survived by a sister, Bette Geist of Hegins; by two nieces, Mary Ann Willier and Debra Buffington both of Hegins; three brother in laws, Phillip Frieling and his wife Dottie of Hegins, Kenneth Frieling of Hegins, and David Frieling of Millersburg; and by two sister in laws Susan Snyder and her husband Richard of Anaheim Hills CA and Ruth Harner and her husband Thomas of Lykens.

Funeral services will be held at St. John's United Methodist Church, Hegins, on Thursday, December 10, 2020, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Benjamin Scholl officiating. Please follow CDC COVID-19 guidelines for the service.

A viewing will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Thursday at the church.

Burial with Military Honors will be made in St. John's Cemetery, Hegins.

Wilbert P. Moyer, 87 of Deibert’s Valley Road, Schuylkill Haven passed away Friday.

Born November 26, 1933 he was the son of the late Lewis and Sadie Moyer

Wilbert was a hard-working dairy farmer all his life beside his late wife Elaine. He was a master mechanic that took care of all his equipment on the farm. He loved his animals dearly and took great pride in their care. Wilbert will be fondly remembered for his love of music and playing his bass and mandolin for his family and loved ones. He loved participating and playing in ho-downs and square dances which is where he and his wife first met and he continued to show her his love with a handpicked bouquet of lilacs each year.

He was a devoted member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ Summer Hill

In addition to his parents he is predeceased by his wife of 58-years Elaine who passed away two years ago to the day of Wilbert. He is also preceded in death by his siblings, Lester, Eugene, and Ernest Moyer and Lillian Miller.

Wilbert is survived by his sister Arline Dietrich of Birdsboro along with his children, Machelle Itle wife of Dan, Loretto, Nelson Moyer, Schuylkill Haven, and Megan Shawver, Coburn. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Zach, Simon, Zane, Grant, Kasey, Devon, Jordyn, Caden, Grace, Isaac, Eli and Samantha.

It is with great sadness the family will be holding private services. Wilbert’s children would love nothing more than to gather with all those who were important to Wilbert and his family. Freda M. Davis 92 of Pottsville passed away on Wednesday while a resident of Schuylkill Center in Pottsville.

Born October 23, 1928 in Church Point, Louisiana she was the daughter of the late Angelus and Angelique Savoy.

In addition to her parents she is predeceased by her siblings; Gladys, Frances, Horace, and Frank Savoy and Nettie Ammen.

She is survived by her children, Evan Davis husband to Pat of Schuylkill Haven, Bruce Davis husband to Nancy of Rehoboth Beach, DE, Rodney Davis husband to Carol of Pottsville, Craig Davis husband to Karen of Florida and Lisa Davis. She is also survived by her grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held following COVID guidelines on Thursday at 1:00 P.M. at Grabowski Funeral Home, Schuylkill Haven. A viewing will be held from 12:00 Noon until the time of services.
