At least 3 homes were damaged after a fire in Shenandoah on Saturday evening.
Just after 6:00pm, Saturday, emergency personnel were called to the area of South Gilbert Street and West Oak Street for a house fire.
Police were first on scene and found smoke coming from the second and third floors of 332 West Oak Street and reported a working fire.
As fire crews arrived on scene a second alarm was issued calling in additional personnel from around Schuylkill County.
The fire was brought under control within the hour but damaged the homes at 332, 330, and 328 West Oak Streets.
The American Red Cross is assisting 6 victims that include 2 adults and 4 children.
Fire crews cleared the scene around 8:30pm.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
