Sheila Colihan, R.N., 57, of Lavelle, Butler Township, passed away on Monday at home surrounded by her loving family.Born on June 14, 1963, she was a daughter of Julia Fitzgerald Colihan, Ashland, and the late John Richard Colihan. She was a 1981 graduate of Cardinal Brennan High School and a 1988 graduate of the Reading Hospital School of Nursing. She later earned her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Alvernia University.
A registered nurse, she was employed by the former St. Catherine’s Medical Center, Ashland, and both campuses of the former Schuylkill Medical Center, Pottsville. She last worked as a shift supervisor at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Schuylkill – East.
She served proudly as a Hospital Corpsman with the Navy Reserve for six years, including a deployment with Fleet Hospital Fifteen to Saudi Arabia in support of Operation Desert Storm in 1991.
She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Church and the former St. Joseph Church, Ashland. She was also a member of the Schuylkill County Quilters Guild and the Ashland American Legion.
Surviving in addition to her mother is her husband, Lawrence Sherman; her daughter, Megan Colihan (companion, Carmine Caccavale); her grandchildren, George, Allison and Michael. She is also survived by four siblings, James O. Colihan, Barnesville, Maryland, Eileen B. Colihan, Arlington, Virginia, Thomas P. Colihan (spouse, Holly), Lavelle, and Patrick J. Colihan, Ashland; nieces and nephews.

Born on July 18, 1924 in Minersville, she was a daughter of the late Stanley Petchulis and Ella Komorosky Petchulis. She attended the Mar Lin School and was a 1942 graduate of Pottsville High School. She was employed for many years at the former Schuylkill County Juvenile Detention Center.
She was a member of the former Saint Francis of Assisi Church, Minersville.
She was the wife of Michael Delenick, Sr., with whom she shared 60 years of marriage prior to his death in 2003.
Helen is survived by three children, Michael Delenick (spouse, Germaine), Mar Lin, Robert Delenick (spouse, Virginia), Lebanon, and Linda Delenick, Manayunk; four grandchildren, Chris Delenick (spouse, Dr. Michele), Darren Delenick (spouse, Andrea), Drew Delenick (spouse, Kaytelyn) and Megan Schwartz (spouse, Thomas); seven great-grandchildren, Emma Schwartz, Hanna Delenick, Sophie, Samuel and Benjamin Delenick, Ryan and Reagan Delenick; her brother, Stanley Petchulis (spouse, June), Mar Lin; her beloved cat, Sammy.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, East Hanover Township. The family prefers donations to Hillside SPCA, P. O. Box 233, Pottsville, PA 17901.

Florence A. Nawrocki, age 90, of West West Terrace, Branch Township, passed into the hands of God on Friday January 22, 2021. She was the beloved wife of 42 years of the late Alvin J. Nawrocki, and a loving mother and grandmother. She had 2 daughters, Cynthia (spouse Michael Dmochowski) and Cheryl (spouse Richard Silakoski), and 4 grandchildren, Keith and Krysten Dmochowski, Raymond and Alexandra Silakoski. Florence is predeceased by her sisters Claire Hatem, OFM and Rita Sanders and her parents Irene and William Bernosky.
Florence lived her life exemplifying Catholic values as a member of Holy Family Roman Catholic Parish and member of the former St. Francis of Assisi Church, Minersville, PA. She dedicated herself to caring for her family and helping others. Florence graduated from Minersville High School and was employed by AT&T as a telephone operator supervisor. She loved to golf and was a member of the Hidden Valley Ladies Golf League, Rotary Ann Auxiliary and Lithuanian Aid Council volunteer. She enjoyed polka dancing, cooking Lithuanian food for her family, singing and decorating.
Florence will be remembered on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at St. Ignatius, Loyola Roman Catholic Church, 2810 St Albans Drive, Sinking Spring, PA 19608. Friends will be received from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11:00 AM. Interment and prayer service will be held at approximately 1:30 PM in St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery, Branch Township, PA.

Gustavus C. "Gus" Schlorf, 81 years of age, of Tamaqua, Pennsylvania passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2021, at St. Luke's Miners Memorial in Coaldale, Pennsylvania.
Born Monday, January 1, 1940 in Coaldale, Pennsylvania the son of the late Charles F. "Stix", and Mary E. (Knies) Schlorf. Gus was also predeceased by his beloved wife Penny L. (Krapf) Schlorf on Sept. 08, 2020; brothers, Charles F. Schlorf, Jr., George M. Schlorf.
Surviving are; daughter, Amy Friendy of Drums; brothers, Robert T. Schlorf and Elna of Tamaqua, Thomas R. Schlorf and his wife Lori of Tamaqua; sister, Joanne L. Snyder wife of Randy of Barnesville; god daughter, Tara Schlorf. Many nieces and nephews also survive Gus.
Gus had worked for the former J. E. Morgan Knitting for many years until they closed. In retirement he spent his summers managing Heisler's golf course in the New England Valley. Gus was a lifetime member of the Southward Fire Company in Tamaqua. Gus had served as Chief, and held numerous other line positions. Gus was past president of the Schuylkill County Firemen's Relief Association. In his youth Gus and his dad raised carrier pigeons. He was an ardent fan of Tamaqua Area High School Sports, the Philadelphia Eagles, and New York Yankees. Gus and his daughter Amy enjoyed trips to watch the Wilkes-Barre Penguins Hockey.

Reda was born in Ringtown, on August 27, 1929, a daughter of the late Jennie (Deebel) and William Hinderliter. A lifelong homemaker, she held various jobs in the Ringtown area.
She and her husband Edward were very supportive of the maintaining and equipping of the Northern Valley Ringtown Medical Center building. Reda was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Ringtown, and enjoyed making and selling crafts.
The last member of her immediate family, preceded in death by brothers Earl, Allen and Harold, and sisters Pearl Brown, Edna Zukie, Helen Bickelman and Doris Hancock.
Reda was also preceded in death by her husband, Edward Howard in 2005; a son, Edward William Howard in 1977 and by two grandsons, Shawn Speer and Robert Zimmerman, Jr.
She is survived by four daughters, Linda Carothers, Cynthia Zimmerman, Susan Krumrine and Lorna Bucher.
Reda is also survived by 3 grandchildren: Stacy Whaley, Jenny Bright and Steven Krumrine; great grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
Her family will cherish her memory as a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, with her family being very important to her.
Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Thursday, January 28th, 2021 from 10-11 AM at the Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home, 412 West Main Street, Ringtown. A funeral service will follow at 11 AM, with her son in law, Rev. Craig Zimmerman officiating. Reda will be laid to rest at the St. John's Cemetery, following the service.

Clarence W. "Shorty" Wallauer, Jr., 95, of Pottsville, died Monday at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Schuylkill East, Pottsville.
He was born May 2, 1925 in Pottsville a son of the late Clarence W. Sr. and Abigail Emerich Wallauer.
He was a graduate of Pottsville High School.
Shorty was employed by Lehigh Valley Dairy and the Railroad Company prior to retiring.
Shorty was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, West End Hose Fire Co., and a social member of American Hose Fire Co., all of Pottsville.
Through out Shorty's life he had a love for horses and also enjoyed riding horses.
He was preceded in death by his wife Catherine Fox Wallauer, on March 3, 2002; 2 sister, Louise Wallauer and Fren Dixon-Engelman; 3 brothers, Ray, Francis and Edward Wallauer. Surviving are many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Saturday at 11AM from the James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville, with Pastor James R. Fidler officiating. Family and friends are invited to a viewing for 9AM until the time of services. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions in memory of Shorty be made to Trinity United Church of Christ, 316 W. Market St. Pottsville, PA 17901. Interment will be in Mount Laurel Cemetery, Bulls Head Rd. Pottsville. Anyone attending is required to wear a mask.

Catherine B. Conville, 84, of Heckscherville, passed away Saturday, January 23rd, at Lehigh Valley Health Schuylkill East. Catherine was born in Pottsville, Pa. on May 17, 1936, a daughter of the late Margaret (Pollack) and Leo Demsky. She was the widow of Francis W. Conville.
She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Church of the Holy Family Parish, Minersville and the former St. Kieran Church. She was a graduate of Blythe Township High School. She was employed as a L.P.N. at Good Samaritan Hospital and Aetna Steel. In addition to her parents and her husband Francis, she was preceded in death by a sister, Rose Beury.
Catherine is survived by a son, Francis X, husband of Lisa (Zula) Conville, a daughter, Annette, wife of Joseph Fleming. Survived by two sisters, Irene Norris and Leona Scheipe. She is also survived by Grandchildren: Michael Fleming, Gabriel Fleming, Nikki Conville & Cory Conville A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 29 at St. Michael the Archangel Church of the Holy Family Parish in Minersville, with the Reverend Jason F. Stokes officiating. Due to COVID-19, all recommended social distancing, mask requirements, and public safety guidelines will be followed.
Interment at Saint Kieran #2 Cemetery. Mahal-Ritzel Funeral Home Inc., Minersville entrusted with the arrangements.
