Geoffrey Edward Love, 84, of Schuylkill Haven, PA died Sunday, January 3, 2021, at his home.
Geoffrey was born in London, England, on January 24, 1936, a son of the late Theresa Margaret and Edward George Love.
While in England he was employed at the London Stock Exchange, 3M, Caravans International and was a flight instructor at the London Gliding Club. In the US he was employed as a Flight/Gliding Instructor at Ridge Soaring, Julian, PA, Connecticut Soaring, Waterbury CT., and Plymouth Soaring, Plymouth MA. He also owned and operated the English Connection in Schuylkill County where he restored antique cars.
Geoffrey is survived by his wife of 35 years, Joyce Elizabeth Romberger; three daughters, Fiona C, wife of Thomas Baer, of Milfod, MI; Sarah M, wife of Philip Thomas, of Kingston, Nova Scotia Canada; Gillian A.R. Love, of Philadelphia; one Grandson Daniel Thomas of Kingston, Nova Scotia, Canada three granddaughters, Abigail F. Thomas, Cold Lake, Alberta, Canada, Charlotte E. Thomas of Kingston, Nova Scotia, Canada, and Rebecca Thomas of Chelmsford, Essex, England.
As per his requests there will be no services.
In lieu of flowers the family will make a donation to his school, University College School in London England.

She was born Monday August 24, 1931 in Pottsville to the late Lester and Elva (Hamilton) Kantner.
She was a graduate of Pottsville Area High School class of 1950.
In her younger days she worked at S S Kresge’s Department Store and Philips Van Heusen.
She married Earl E. Heiser November 22, 1950 and together they owned and operated Heiser Electric from 1965 until his passing March 5, 1994 and then continued with her son Lynn until 2019.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the Centre Street Mother’s Club holding the offices of Recording Secretary and Treasurer from 1958 to 1967 and then again from 1973 to 1977.
She was a past member of the Order of the Eastern Star and The Sphinx Club.
Dot loved to cook (usually for more than were in attendance) and bake, making many wedding and birthday cakes in her day. She enjoyed a good game of cards as well. In later years she loved games shows, the news and puzzle books.
She was so proud of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren’s accomplishments. If she could not be in attendance, she loved to hear the details of the events and see all the pictures.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by; her sister in law, Lois Kantner, who passed away December 19, 2020.
She is survived by; her son Lynn Heiser (Suzanne), daughter Cheryl Curnow (Jim) and her daughter with whom she resided Carolyn Wood (David Perkins), grandchildren, Scott Heiser (Rhoda) and Michelle Corby (Kevin) and great-grandchildren, Kenna & Nolan Corby and Margot Heiser, brother, Charles Kantner and many nieces, nephews and great and great-great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her many furbabies laughing and calling herself the ‘zookeeper’.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, January 9th, from 9:00 AM till 11:00AM at Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home, 515 W. Market Street, Pottsville. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM with Pastor Chris Rothharpt, Pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville. Interment will follow in Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.

Alexis J. Wilder, 24, of Minersville, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital, Philadelphia, with her family by her side.
Born in Pottsville, on February 15, 1996, she was a daughter of Stanley J. Wilder, Jr. and Gail E. (Kelly) Wilder.
She was a 2014 graduate of Governor Mifflin and attended RACC for two years majoring in nursing. Alexis was still in the process of pursuing her degree and passion for helping others.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville.
Alexis had worked as a Technician at a Pain Management Clinic in New Mexico before returning to PA.
She loved working with babies and children and enjoyed babysitting frequently. She loved her dog, Marley.
Alexis was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Stanley J. Wilder, Sr., to whom she was especially close.
She is survived by her parents Gail E. (Kelly) Wilder and Stanley J. Jr. and Theapia Wilder, ;
two sisters, Kadie Neye-Wilder, of Hegins; and Brielle Best, of Mt. Laurel, NJ; three brothers, Matthew and Brian Manning, both of Pottsville; and Camron Torres, of Reading; paternal Grandmother, PeggyAnn Wilder, of Pottsville; Aunt, Donna L. Stokes, of Pine Grove; and three nieces.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 8th at 11:00 a.m.at Lord-Bixler Funeral Home, Inc., 1818 Mahantongo St., Pottsville, with Rev. Chris Rothharpt officiating. A viewing will be held on Thursday evening from 6-8:00 p.m.. and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service in the funeral home.
Interment will follow in Mt. Nebo Cemetery, Schuylkill Haven.

Doris Lorraine Schroding, 87, of Hatfield, formerly Tamaqua, died Friday January 1, 2021, in Hatfield. PA
Born in West Mahanoy Twp., December 4, 1933, She was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Schaller) Hinkle.
She worked many years as Office Administrator for Landsdale Borough.
Doris was a member of St. Peter Union Church, Tamaqua, PA
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles “Bud” Schroding in 2016 and a brother Ronald Hinkle 2006.
She was the loving Mother of 2 sons Charles Schroding Jr. and his wife Carol, Mark Schroding and his wife Rose, 2 daughters Lynne E. Bridi and her husband Michael, Meribeth Schroding -Yelito and her husband Stanley, 9 grandchildren, 14great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday January 8, 2021 from Bruce T. Hart Funeral Home, 110 North Second Street St. Clair, PA 17970. The Rev. Virginia Heimer will be officiating. Born in Shenandoah on August 16, 1932 he was a son of the late Michael and Julia (Oravitz) Mohutsky.
He was a graduate of the former J.W. Cooper High School, Shenandoah.
Ed was a retired union pipefitter and was a member of the Pipefitters & Plumbers Local 524, Scranton.
Mr. Mohutsky was a decorated Army veteran having served his country in the Korean War. He received the National Defense Service Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, the United Nations Service Medal and the Korean Service Medal.
He was a member of Saint Michael’s Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, Shenandoah.
Surviving are his wife of fifty-two years, the former Rosemary Ushock; two sons, Anthony “Tony” Mohutsky of Frackville and Michael Mohutsky and his wife Maria of Indianapolis, Indiana; two daughters, Joy Foster and her husband Michael of Media and Susan Halcovich and her husband Patrick of Frackville; two grandchildren, Michael and Alex Foster; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents were four brothers, Michael, Emil, Ralph and Clarence; and four sisters, Anna Kelly, Mary Jawor, Julia Ciesluk and Christine "Teenie" Sebastian.
Funeral services and interment in Saint Michael’s Ukrainian Greek Catholic Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights will be private at the convenience of the family.

John A. Majikas, 81, of Girardville, PA died Saturday, January 2, 2021 at the Veteran's Hospital, Wilkes-Barre, PA.
Born in Shenandoah, PA, March 10, 1939 the son of the late Anthony and Julia (Statutis) Majikas. John was a US Army Veteran. He was a member of the Holy Name Society of the St. Vincent DePaul Church, Girardville, the American Legion, Girardville, and the Tuscarora R/C Airplane Club. He graduated in the last class of St. Joseph's High School, Girardville in 1956.
He is survived by two brothers: Anthony and his wife Carol, Pottsville; and Vincent, Hillsgrove, PA. Nieces, nephews and cousins.
A private graveside service will be held at a future time at the convenience of the family. Donations may be made in John's memory to the American Cancer Society.

Stanley Platko, 66, of Buck Run, Foster Township, passed away on Thursday in Danville.
Born on February 28, 1954 in Pottsville, he was a son of Anna Krasnitsky Platko, Buck Run, and the late Stephen Platko, Sr. He attended Minersville area schools, and worked in the local garment industry before becoming disabled.
He was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic church, Minersville.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, John Platko, in 2009.
He is survived by four siblings, Stephen Platko, Jr. (companion, Mary Ann Ondisco), Branchdale, Michael Platko, Buck Run, Joseph Platko (spouse, Jill), Merrimack, Newe Hampshire, and ann Marie Demmers (spouse, Ken), Ferndale, Michigan; nieces and nephews.
Services were private from Dutcavich Funeral Home. Interment was in Ss. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Cemetery, Branch Township.
Geraldine L. "Gerry" Scully, age 88, of Mahanoy City, passed away Sunday morning at her home.
Evelyn Kretulskie,93 of Frackville,PA passed away Sunday, Jan. 3,2021 in Danville,PA.
Born in Connerton,PA Dec.22,1927 the daughter of the late Basil and Agnes Yakabowski. She graduated from Butler Twp. High School and the Empire Beauty School. She owned and operated Evelyn's Beauty Shop in Frackville for over 60 years until retirement. She was a faithful member of the Lavelle Church of the Nazarene.
preceded her in death: Edward Yakabowski and Violet Yenetskie. Surviving are two daughters and two sons: Joanne wife of Norm Runkle; Dr. Carol Mack; Michael Kretulskie and Joseph husband of Ruta Kretulskie. Eight grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren survive. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family from the Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home, Ashland, PA. Rev. Sharon L. Laudeman, 67, of Minersville, passed away Saturday after a courageous fight with breast cancer at Geisinger Hospital with her husband, George, and daughter in law, Jen, by her side.
