Schuylkill County Crash Log - 02/15/2021
FRAILEY TOWNSHIP - 02/19/2021 - Around 7:18am, the crash occurred on Interstate 81 southbound near mile marker 108.5 as Donna Davis, 59, of Mahanoy City was traveling in the right lane and saw a disabled vehicle stuck on the shoulder as she passed by.
Davis reportedly stopped her vehicle in the right lane and backed up to assist the disabled motorist.
As she backed up, a tractor trailer being driven by Toni Panko, 49, of Mount Carmel struck the driver side door of Davis' vehicle.
Davis' vehicle sustained damage to the driver's side and the tractor trailer sustained damage to the bumper and cab. The tractor trailer also became jack knifed on the shoulder.
No injuries were reported.
Davis will be cited for the crash.

NEW CASTLE TOWNSHIP - 02/18/2021 - Around 9:30pm, the crash occurred on Interstate 81 northbound near mile marker 123.9 as William Corby, 30, of Spring Brook Township was traveling in the winter weather at 45mph.
Corby attempted to make a lane change and lost control on the snow covered roadway and crashed into a snow bank.
Corby's Ford Focus sustained disabling damage and had to be towed from the scene.
No injuries were reported.

FRAILEY TOWNSHIP - 02/22/2021 - Around 8:45am, the crash occurred in the southbound lanes of Interstate 81 near mile marker 107.9 when James Spilka, 37, of Meridan, MS jack knifed his tractor trailer and struck a guard rail in the median.
Spilka was not injured but his passenger, April Conway, 31, of Meridan, MS was transported via Tremont Ambulance for unspecified injuries.
Spilka will be cited for the crash.

DELANO TOWNSHIP - 02/18/2021 -Around 9:40pm, the crash occurred in the southbound lanes of Interstate 81 at the Delano Off Ramp when Justise Perez Pagan, 22, of Berwick attempted to use the off ramp to exit the Interstate and struck a snow bank.
The vehicle sustained disabling damage and both Perez Pagan and a passenger, Alize Ruiz, 22, also of Berwick, were injured in the crash.

BLYTHE TOWNSHIP - 02/18/2021 - Around 3:00pm, the crash occurred on the Burma Road when Seth Maley, 20, of Mahanoy City was negotiating a right curve in the roadway, lost control on the slush covered road, struck a snow bank and rolled his Ford Ranger over onto it's roof.
Maley was not injured in the crash.
