It is with great sadness that the family of Wayne A. "Hamp" Kimmel, Sr. 55, of W. Philadelphia St., Donaldson, announced his passing after his courageous battle, on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Geisinger St. Lukes in Orwigsburg.Born on August 23, 1965 in Pottsville, he was a son of the late William and Joan Aungst Kimmel.
He attended Pine Grove Area School.
Wayne was a dedicated Independent Coal Miner, having started working at a young age in the mines.
He was a previous member of Broad Mountain Hunting Club.
Hamp loved having gatherings with his children and friends picnics at his home, going to Randazzos, Tuscarora, Steeley's campsite, playing his lottery tickets and going to Knoebels Grove with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed being surrounded by his loved ones.
Wayne will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 25 years (together for 30), Margie L. Reiner Kimmel; three sons, Wayne A. Kimmel Jr. of Donaldson, Clair "Bruiser" Kimmel and companion Breanna Lucas of Tremont, Coty Kimmel and companion Skye Reed of Donaldson, a daughter, Briana Kimmel and companion, Robert E. Zimmerman of Pine Grove; eight grandchildren, Alex Zimmerman, Chandller Kimmel, Shailey Kimmel, Nashmeira Kimmel, Santana Kimmel, Adalyn Kimmel, Colt Kimmel, Nolan Zimmerman; two brothers, William and wife Linda Kimmel of Branchdale, Charles Kimmel of Tremont, three sisters, Wanda and husband John Yorty of Tremont, Cindy and husband Randy Sattizahn of Schuylkill Haven, Lucille and husband Deron Shutt of Donaldson; nieces and nephews; an aunt, Lucille Fetter of Donaldson, Father-in-law Harvey Reiner, Sr, of Pine Grove and a childhood friend, Joey Degler.
There will be a viewing on Monday, March 1, from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. at the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Pine Grove.
In lieu of flowers, Contributions may be made to the Janet Weis Children's Hospital, c/o Geisinger Health Foundation, 100 N. Academy Ave., Danville, Pa. 17822, MC40-36, in his memory.

Mark E. Bender, 91, of Tower City, passed away peacefully, Friday February 26, 2021.Born in Williams Twp., November 30, 1929, a son of the late Leon and Eva Houtz Bender.
Mark was a United States Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War and served two separate tours. He retired from the Navy with 30 years of service. He also retired as a Die Repairman with the former AMP, Inc., Tower City in 1989.
He was of the protestant faith. Mark was a member of the Tower City American Legion and a life member of the CB Veterans of America.
Mark was an avid reader, who could often be found reading on his Kindle.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Doll Herner and Clare Koppenhaver and a brother, Robert Bender.
Surviving are his wife Mary Ellen Jones Bender to whom he would have celebrated 57 years of marriage March 6th; his four children, Lynne S. Houtz and her husband Tom, Tower City; Sheryl J. Johnson and her husband Kevin, Silverdale, Washington; George A. Parson and his wife Gwen, Loyalton and Meredyth E. Hubler and her husband Noel, Philadelphia; one brother, Marshall "Jack" Bender, Mechanicsburg; seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren.
Private services with military honors will be held at the convenience of the family for the immediate family from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home, Inc., with Rev. Maureen Duffy-Guy officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery.

Eugene S. Ressler, age 93, of Valley View, passed away Friday, February 26, 2021 at his residence.He was born on Monday, June 20, 1927, in Hegins, a son of the late Ralph R Ressler and the late Dorthea (Yoder) Ressler.
He was a 1947 graduate of the former Williamson Free School of Mechanical Trades, Philadelphia.
Gene served in the US Navy Seabees during World War II.
He was a construction supervisors for Fred Alexander Construction, Atlas, and then retired form Keener Construction.
He was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View.
Gene loved fly fishing, wood carving, furniture making, and spending time with his family
He is survived by his wife Phyllis C (Kessler) Ressler, to whom he was married for 73 years.
He is also survived by a son, James R Ressler and his wife Diane of Valley View; two daughters, Bonnie A Bowman and her husband Steven of Valley View and Robin A Wiest and her husband Dr. David of Doylestown; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
Following Gene's wishes, there will be no services.

Charles J. Senkus Jr. 82 of Port Carbon passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday.Born in Port Carbon on May 8, 1938 he was the son of the late Charles J. Sr and Theresa Wassel Senkus.
Charles was a graduate of Nativity BVM in Pottsville.
He worked as a pipefitter all his life and had many interesting positions including working at Three-Mile-Island along with the Alaskan Pipeline. Charles was a member of Pipefitter Union 520.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Nancy Achenbach and children Charlie Senkus Jr., James Senkus, Sr., Theresa Generalla, and Jeffrey Senkus.
He is survived by his grandchildren; Joe Generella, James Senkus Jr., Jonathan Senkus, Charles Porter, Jessica Warner and Janene Garrity along with several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be on the grounds of Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven. Grabowski Funeral Home, Schuylkill Haven is entrusted with the services. Memories and condolences can be shared at www.grabowskifuneralhome.com
