Richard L. McCord
, 69, of St. Clair, died Saturday February 27, 2021, at his residence.

Born in Pottsville, February 3, 1952, He was a son of the late Richard and Dolores (McLaughlin) McCord.

Hewas a 1970 graduate of St. Clair High School and was awarded a scholarship to play football at North Carolina State University where he was coached by Lou Holtz.

Rick was a professional golf instructor for over forty years. His career began in 1973 at Swings the Thing Golf School in Shawnee, PA. In 1982 he became the golf professional at Orange Lake Resort in Orlando, FL and later went on to found the McCord Golf Academy. He has been ranked in the PGA top 100 golf professionals since 1991.

He was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, St. Clair, PA

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Patrick McCord; and a sister Anne Kimmel

Surviving are 2 daughters, Erin McCord of Ashville, NC; Andee McCord of, Tallahassee, FL; son, Connor McCord of Orlando, FL; brother, Michael McCord and his wife Bernadette of St. Clair; nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 7:00 PM Thursday March 4, 2021 from St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, 250 E. Hancock St. St. Clair. The Rev. Msgr. William F. Glosser will be officiating. Friends may call from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM Thursday at the Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Clare of Assisi Memorial Fund. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Calvary Cemetery Pottsville

Barbara Wood
, 76, of Ringtown, passed away Saturday, February 27th, 2021, at her residence.

Barb was born in Shenandoah, on October 14, 1944, a daughter of the late Blanche (Long) and Thomas Grow, Sr.

She was graduate of the former Ringtown high school and was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Ringtown, where she was a very active member.

She was retired from the Jeld-Wen window factory in Ringtown was a member of and a three times past Matron of the Ashland Chapter #154 OES.

Barb loved her grandchildren and enjoyed watching them play sports.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Wood in 2019.

Barb is survived by her children; daughter, Virginia Wood, of Ringtown; and by her son, Gary Wood and his wife Sandra, of Shenandoah.

A brother, Thomas 'TP' Grow, and his wife Sarah Jane; a sister Brenda, wife of Keith Kehley; a sister in-law Susan, wife of Dennis Kuzmitsky and her mother in-law Lois Wood all also survive.

Barb is is also survived by her grandchildren, Paul and his wife Katrina; Cassandra; and Randi along with great grandchildren, Tessa, Trace and Luke.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend graveside services at St. John's Cemetery in Ringtown on Saturday, March 6th at 11 AM. Those planning to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery and follow all covid-19 regulations for mask wearing and social distancing.

Ronald 'Rocky' Truhan
, 86, of Zion Grove, passed away Saturday, February 27th, 2021, at his residence.

Rocky was born in Ringtown, on December 21, 1934, a son of the late Ella Mae (Laudeman) and Alex Truhan.

He was a 1953 graduate of the Conygham Township High School in Aristes, then entered the US Army, serving during the Korean War.

Rocky was a retired ironworker, and was an avid outdoorsman, having been a member of the Ringtown Valley Sportsmans Club

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Alex, and a son.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Sandra (Shank) Truhan, and by his children, Sarah, Ronald, Sean, Erin and MaryKate, along with a brother Donald.

Also surviving are an extend family of step children along with grandchildren.

Rocky will be laid to rest following private military graveside services at the Indiantown Gap Nation Cemetery in Annville.
