Born on July 4, 1942 in Tremont, he was a son of the late Luther and Violet Miller Hummel.
He was a graduate of Tremont High School and then enlisted in the United States Navy, having served for 4 years on numerous ships and aircraft carriers. He was aboard a Naval Carrier when the Vietnam War started. He studied at the Navy School of Music, was a member of the Navy Band, and played for President Kennedy. He has literature of his own at JFK Library. Thomas was also a graduate from Antioch University, where he earned his degree in labor law.
After his military service he worked at Penn Dye & Finishing Co. in Pine Grove until he became a International Union Organizer for the Textile Workers Union of America. After his retirement, he and his sister went on a joint adventure and were co-owners and operators of The People's Choice Restaurant until it was sold. During that time, he secured the Naval Band to perform a concert at Tri Valley High School.
Thomas started a marching band in Tremont and was a member of the Tremont Lions Club, Rajah Temple Shriners and the Tremont Masonic Lodge. He loved his family especially his niece and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nephews. Uncle Tom loved them so much and was proud of all of them. He enjoyed their visits, loved hearing about them and always had a funny story to tell about each one of them.
Surviving are his sister Janet and husband Randy Umholtz of Good Spring, a brother Roger Sr. and wife Tamara Hummel of Arizona; a niece Jennifer Reho Zimmerman; nephews, Steven and wife Stephanie Reho, Roger Hummel, Jr. and Jeffrey Hummel; great nieces and nephews, Emily and Ava Zimmerman, Kelby and wife Mackenzie Reho, Joshua and Tyler Reho, Bryce and Gavin Hummel; two great great nephews, Jameson and Jackson.
All Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Pine Grove.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to St. Peter's United Church of Christ, 57 Spring St. Tremont, Pa. 17981 in his memory.

Ruth E. Kimmel, 95, passed away on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 in the Tremont Health & Rehab Center.Born on April 16, 1925 in Rock, she was a daughter of the late John and Cora Krammes Minnich.
She was a 1942 graduate of Pine Grove High School.
Ruth worked at Argo Knitting Mill, Schuylkill Haven.
Preceding her in death were three sisters, Ida Spotts, Edna Staller and Mary Angst.
Surviving are a daughter Ruth Ann and husband Ronald Lehman, Sr.; a son, Keith Kimmel, both of Pine Grove; 7 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
All Services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Born in Shenandoah on April 24, 1950, he was a son of the late Stanley N. and Estelle “Stella” (Pahlicke) Klokey.
He was a 1968 graduate of the former J.W. Cooper High School, Shenandoah and Stevens Trade School where he received his electrical training.
Henry was a decorated Vietnam Navy veteran where he proudly served his country. He received the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal and the National Defense Service Medal.
He was a self-employed electrical contractor having owned and operated Hank’s Electric.
Hank was a member of Divine Mercy Parish, Shenandoah and the former Saint Mary Magdalene Church, Lost Creek. He was also a member of the William Penn Fire Company.
Preceding him in death in addition to his parents were his sister, Anna Marie Klokey; and two brothers, Stanley J. Klokey and Carl Klokey.
Surviving are his sister-in-law, Grace Klokey of Lansdale; his friend and caregiver, Sandy Manbeck of Ringtown; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at 10:00 am in Divine Mercy Church, 232 W. Cherry St., Shenandoah with Monsignor Ronald C. Bocian, Pastor as the celebrant. Interment with military honors will follow in Saint Stephen’s Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights.

Born in Branchdale, May 6, 1939, a son of the late Francis Sr. and Mary Wolff Wiscount.
Charlie was a 1957 graduate of the former Tremont High School. He was a Marine Corps Reserve Veteran. He retired as a commercial Meter Reader with PP&L.
Charlie was a member of Most Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, Tremont had been very active in the Boy Scouts of America, not only in Tremont, but statewide. He was a 50 year member of the Tremont Fire Company and a member of the NRA.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, David Wiscount.
Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Joan M. Koch Wiscount; his children, Charles Wiscount, Jr. (Mindy), Tremont; Steven Wiscount, Tremont; Tracy Scott Wiscount (Sue), Shamokin; Joan Wiscount, Newtown and Randy Wiscount (Janet), Tower City; 10 beloved grandchildren he was very proud of: Angela Grguric (Adam); Bradley Wiscount; Cody Wiscount; Steven Wiscount, Jr.; Adrian Wiscount; Brandon Yeagley (Nicole); Richelle Reber (Kyle); DeAnna Tuttle (Kurt); Leah Wiscount (Calvin) and Jandi Wiscount; 6 great grandchildren, Alexa and Grayson Grguric; Presley Yeagley; Addie and Vaughn Reber and Silas Tuttle; his siblings, Mary Scheib, Tremont; Patricia Fenedick, Illinois; Linda Hummel, Bechtelsville, Roxanne Myers, Lock Haven; Francis "Sonny" Wiscount, Jr., Pine Grove and Dennis Wiscount, Tremont. Nieces and nephews.
Following Charlie's wishes there will be no public services.

Marilyn E. Golod, 87, of Schuylkill Haven, formerly of Pottsville, died peacefully Monday morning at the home of her daughter Elaine with whom she resided with for 11 years.She was born May 24, 1933 in Scranton a daughter of the late Michael and Mary Sherman Garvey.
She was a 1951 graduate of St. Mary of Assumption High School, Scranton.
She was employed by Bell Telephone prior to retiring after 40 years of service.
Marilyn was a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville, the St. John's Women's Guild, and Telephone Pioneers of America.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Max E. Golod, 1997; a brother, John Garvey.
Surviving are her daughter, Elaine Grapsy and her husband Mark, Schuylkill Haven; 2 grandchildren whom she enjoyed and loved watching turn into young adults, Jillian Grapsy, Dallas, TX, and Shane Grapsy, Philadelphia; a brother, Ray Garvey, Annapolis, MD; nieces and nephews.
Throughout her life Marilyn had many pets but dearly missed her beloved Mia who died in 2017.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 2PM from St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville, with Rev. David J. Loeper as celebrant. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions be made to St. John Memorial Fund, 913 Mahantongo St. Pottsville, PA 17901. Interment will be private at Calvary Cemetery, Pottsville.
Arrangements are under the care of James B. Humphrey, Funeral Director, James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville.

Born in Middleport, PA, he was a longtime resident of Lawrenceville. He obtained his bachelor’s Degree from Penn State University, his Master’s degree from the University of Southern California and his Ph.D from the University of Pennsylvania. His career began with Hughes Aircraft in California, followed by 17 years with RCA Labs in Princeton, 10 years at the Solar Energy Research Institute in Colorado, before retiring from EPV in Lawrenceville where he was a consultant for many years. Throughout his career, Ed was a pioneer in solar energy, developed many patents, and worked on the atomic clock and other projects at RCA. He was a parishioner at The Church of St. Ann. Ed was a little league baseball coach in Lawrence Township for many years. Some of his favorite hobbies included fishing and hiking in Colorado and traveling around the world with his family.
Predeceased by his parents Jacob and Anna Sabisky; his siblings Anna, Helen, Mary, Chester and Walter, his son Eddie Sabisky; he is survived by his wife Joan (Toback); his son and daughter-in-law Matthew and Paula Sabisky; seven grandchildren Camila, Andrew, Anastasia, Nicholas, Marina, Richard and Christopher; his great-granddaughter Alexandria; his daughter-in-law Katrina Sabisky; many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank all the aides, nurses, and helpers that provided Ed with the utmost kindness and respect throughout his long illness. They would also like to thank Luping and Anhorng for all their help. They are true friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at 10:30AM at The Church of St. Ann, 1253 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. Attendees are asked to arrive to the church no later than 10:15AM. There will be no calling hours.
Interment will be held on Friday, March 5, 2021 at 10:00AM at Schuylkill Memorial Park, 75 Memorial Drive, Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972.
