James Robert King, 77, of Ashland, PA died on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at home. He was the husband of Sara (nee Nahf) King to whom he was married 37 years.Born in Allentown, PA on July 12, 1943, James was the son of the late James S. and Helen (nee O’Gorman) King. A graduate of Marian High School, he attended Stevens Trade School. James served in the Air Force and was employed as an independent truck driver. He was a former member of Zion Lutheran Church, Tamaqua, PA.
In addition to his wife, Sara, James is survived by daughters, Lori King of Emmaus, PA and Alysia King of the Lehigh Valley, PA; son, James King of the Lehigh Valley; stepdaughter, Leslie Yarnall of Brandonville, PA; stepsons, Douglas Uhrie of Ashland, PA and Clayton Uhrie of McAdoo, PA; grandchildren, Katrina Trine and Ryan Filchner; step grandchildren, Jennifer Yarnall, Andrea Yarnall, and William Yarnall; and sister, Elizabeth Boyer of Tamaqua.

Born in Mahanoy Plane, he was a son of the late Gerald and Mary Kerrigan Smith.
Jonas was last employed as a Special Education teacher at Schuylkill IU 29, Marlin.
He was a US Army Veteran of the Viet Nam War. He was a member of the former Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Mahanoy Plane and is currently a member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish, Frackville. Jonas was a member of the Frackville Knights of Columbus Council 2580.
Jonas is survived by his sister Maryann Smith, his brother Gerald and his wife Alice Smith, his niece Bridget Whalen and nephew Jerry Smith and also by several great-nieces and nephews. Jonas was the most wonderful brother and will be sadly missed.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 12, 2021 at 10 a.m. in St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Frackville, with Rev. Brian Miller, pastor, as the celebrant. Friends may call at the church Friday morning from 9 a.m. until time of mass. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
All CDC guidelines will be followed.

Born on October 30, 1936 in Jonestown, Cass Township, he was a son of the late Wassel and Anna (Hozella) Palamar. He was a 1955 graduate of Cass Township High School. He spent his career at Dana Corporation before retiring.
He was a member of St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, Minersville.
Preceding him in death were a son, Joseph K. Palamar; a grandson, Morgan Palamar.
Joe is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, the former Joanne Marie Kashalonis; four remaining children, Teresa “Terri” Reeser (spouse, Mark), Sinking Spring, Kevin Palamar (spouse, Judy), Allentown, Michael Palamar (spouse, Jennifer), Reading, and Christopher Palamar (spouse, Debbie), Leesport; ten grandchildren, a great-grandson and one expected great grandchild; a brother, Raymond Palamar, Suffolk Virginia; a maternal uncle, John Hozella, Cass Township.
Per Joseph’s wishes, services are private.
