Sebastian Bach to Headline "Vocals for Vets" This Fall at the Schuylkill County Fairgrounds

A special fundraising event that will benefit homeless veterans will take place at the Schuylkill County Fairgrounds this fall.
The Clinical Outcomes Group, Inc. of Pottsville provides health and social services throughout Pennsylvania. The focus of their organization is on behavioral health issues such as substance abuse, mental health, domestic violence, workplace wellness, veterans' issues and family services.

"Over the past several years, COGI has identified Veterans as a priority population that often have a very unique set of needs. While we all see the physical injuries and disabilities our Veterans suffer from as a result of war, it is the non-visible injuries that are far more concerning. Most of us have heard of and at least understand Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), but few know the meaning of or understand Moral Injury." said Alicia Fleischut, Executive Director of COGI.

This fall, the organization is hosting a fundraising event, "Vocals for Vets" on October 16th, 2021 at the Schuylkill County Fairgrounds in Summit Station near Schuylkill Haven.

This will be an all-day event and will offer some veteran activities, various food trucks, local vendors, games and activities, local bands playing some of your favorite songs; leading up to the main event, Sebastian Bach, the original voice of Skid Row, will close out the night as the headlining performance.

The proceeds from the event will be designated to help homeless veterans.

"Often times veterans or those that served in the military or National Guard have difficulty obtaining services they desperately need because navigating the system can be terrifying, frustrating, and resources limited. We have encountered issues where services could not be obtained because certain paperwork was not available. Individuals may have been dishonorably discharged or they were in the National Guard rather than active duty which may exclude them from some veteran benefits. COGI wants to use the money raised from this event to allow any homeless individual that has a military background the opportunity to get services and the things they need in order to live their best possible life without restriction or limitation." Fleischut said.

Donations for the event are already being accepted by mailing
