Ethel M. (Mooney) Black, 85, Pottsville, entered into eternal rest Thursday morning at Orwigsburg Center, Orwigsburg.

Born July 26, 1935 in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of the late Lee and Jean (McGrath) Mooney.

She was a 1954 graduate of the former Tower City High School and was of the Protestant faith.

Ethel was preceded in death by her husband William J. Black, Jr. in 2019.

She is survived by sons, William J. Black III, Pottsville and David L. Black husband of Joann, Minersville; daughters Debra Bassler wife of Robert, Jr., Allentown and Janet Black, Pottsville; granddaughters Leah and Claire, Allentown; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services are private and at the convenience of the family. Interment will be held on the grounds of Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. William “Billy” J. Zulkowski, 49, Frackville passed away on April 21st at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center, Spokane, WA after his two year battle with kidney disease.

Born in Pottsville, he was a son of Joseph and Kathy Curran Zulkowski, Frackville. He had been employed by Ron Troy Paving before moving to Washington.

Billy was a graduate of North Schuylkill High School.

He was preceded in death by his brother Joseph “Joey” Zulkowski.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother Jamie Zulkowski, Ashland; his brother Tom and his wife Amanda Zulkowski; his niece and nephews.

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Ronald W. Zeigler
, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother of West Penn Twp. Tamaqua, Pennsylvania passed away on Thursday, April 22, 2021, at Lehigh Valley Hospital Salisbury Twp. having waged a courageous battle against cancer, he was 58 years of age.

Born Thursday, April 4, 1963 in Palmerton, the son of the late Earl, and Beatrice (Hartung) Zeigler. Ronald was also predeceased by; sister, Joan Miller.

Surviving are; his wife of 37 years, Helene (Bensinger) Zeigler; daughters, Ashley E. Rodgers wife of Thomas of Tamaqua, Naomi Lee of Chula Vista, CA,; brother, Larry Zeigler of Andreas; sisters, Joyce Knepper wife of Robert of Summit Hill, Doris Leiby wife of Lamar of New Ringgold, Barbara Stegmeier wife of the late Robert of Tamaqua; grandchildren, Lilly, Myra, Orynn, Sequoya, Onoko, Zechariah; niece, Shelly Heisler wife of Todd; nephew, Bryan Miller and his wife Sharon; and many other family members.

A Tamaqua High School graduate, Ron was a member of the Teamsters union for over 25 years. He drove truck, and commercial vehicles for New Penn Motor Freight, and various other local companies before taking a job with the Pennsylvania Turnpike Mahoning Tunnel Operations from which he recently retired.

Ron served his country honorably during two enlistments. First with the United States Army Reserve from 1982 to 1988, and then re-enlisting in the Air Force Reserve in 1999 serving thru 2003. Ron was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed camping, fishing, and hunting. He took great pride in his 2006 Pontiac GTO spending many weekends going to car shows, but he loved spending most of his time with his children and grandchildren.

Kathryn E. Knorr
, 95, of Tower City, passed away Thursday, April 29, 2021 at her home surrounded by family.

Born in Reinerton, September 24 1925, a daughter of the late Harry and Kathryn "Katie" Welker Workman.

Kathryn was a retired seamstress from the garment industry.

She enjoyed spending time with family. She loved to go shopping.

She was predeceased by her husband, Calvin, 1978.

Surviving are three children, Robert Knorr and his wife Eileen, Williamstown; Carol Williams and her husband Abe, Muir and Diane Matter and her husband Joel, Tower City; seven grandchildren, Corey (Megan) Williams; Ashley (Jamie) Johnson; Briana (Jeremy) Feliu, Kyle and Bryce Knorr; Josh Matter and Lydia (Brandon) Sedesse; three great grandchildren, Jayla, Ember and Jamie.

Private service will be held at the convenience of the family with Pastor Amanda Bressler officiating. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Compassus Hospice, 1001 James Drive, Suite B34, Leesport, PA 19533.
