The top floor of an apartment building was damaged by fire on Sunday afternoon in New Philadelphia.
Just after 3:30pm, Sunday, emergency personnel were dispatched to 18 Water Street, New Philadelphia for an apartment building fire.
The first chief to arrive on-scene reported heavy smoke coming from the third floor and classified the fire as working.
Firefighters were quick to respond with the fire being knocked down by 4:10pm and under control by 4:20pm.
The fire was contained to the 3rd floor apartment area which sustained extensive damage.
The quick response by firefighters are being credited having the fire controlled so quickly.
