On Tuesday, The North Schuylkill Spartan Softball team defeated Salisbury in 5 innings during the first round of the District XI playoffs.
The Spartans had remained scoreless and behind by one until Jocelyn Stitzer, a senior, hit a homerun out of Dot Seidel Field in Fountain Springs in the 3rd inning.
This ignited the Spartans scoring 11 unanswered runs, 5 runs in the 3rd, 5 runs in the 4th, and one final run in the 5th ending the game at 11-1.
The Spartans move on to play Pine Grove on Thursday, May 27th, 2021. As of this posting the site and time have not been announced.
