Did you see or smell the smoke near Frackville and Saint Clair on Wednesday?
The smoke that you saw on Wednesday was done on purpose by Pennsylvania Game Commission when they completed a prescribed burn on State Game Lands 326 in Blythe Township.
The smoke could be seen as far north as Fountain Springs and Shenandoah and as far south as Pottsville and even residents in Minersville reported they could smell the burning wood.
The burns are typically done to improve the ecosystems of the burn areas.
