A man was transported to an area hospital on Tuesday after a motorcycle incident near Lavelle.
Around 11:45am, Tuesday, emergency personnel were dispatched to the area of Route 901 and Dutchtown Road, Butler Township, for a motorcycle crash.
Lavelle Fire and Butler Township arrived on-scene to find a motorcycle that was laid over with the driver on the ground.
Butler Township Police said the operator of the motorcycle, a man from New York, had stopped near the intersection and when he attempted to drive away, laid the bike over onto it's side. The man sustained injuries and was transported to an area hospital via Washington Ambulance.
A chihuahua that was also on the motorcycle was not injured. Butler Township Police said they would take care of the dog until the owner or friend of the owner was able to come get him.
