A fire in Pottsville on Friday damaged two homes and displaced 6.
Around 11:45am, emergency personnel were dispatched to 16 York Farm Road, in the Yorkville section of Pottsville for a house fire.
As the first crews arrived on scene, they found heavy black smoke come from the rear of the home.
It took firefighters about an hour and half before the fire was marked under control severely damaging the duplex homes which included the addresses of 16 and 14.
Two dogs were rescued from one home, but another dog died in the second. One firefighter was also reported to be injured.
According to the American Red Cross, two adults and a child were being assisted from each of the homes totaling 6 people.
The cause of the fire was reported to have been electrical and ruled accidental.
