Lewis S. Yeager, Jr., age 69, of Pottsville, PA passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 8th, 2021 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Schuylkill in Pottsville.

Born in Pottsville, PA on July 8, 1951, he was the son of the late Lewis S. Yeager Sr. and Doris (Wallace) Rhoades.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Wayne Yeager.

Lewis is survived by three sons: Lewis Yeager III, Earl Yeager and his wife Tiffany, and Kirk Yeager and his wife Susan; three brothers: Earl Yeager and his wife Donna, Gary Yeager and his wife Jonnalene, and Roy Yeager and his wife Linda, sister Joanne Yeager; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and Friends are invited to visit with the family on Friday morning from 9-11AM at Robert A. Evans Jr. Funeral Home in Port Carbon.

Interment services will be held private for his family at the Charles Baber Cemetery in Pottsville.

Rita Laspina, 93 of Ashland, Pa passed away Friday May 7, 2021 at Schuylkill Center, Pottsville, PA. Born in Girardville, PA, April 11, 1928, the daughter of the late Lewis and Madalin (DeAngelo) Buzelli. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Dominick A. Laspina in 2014. She was also preceded in death by a brother and a sister: Anthony Buzzelli and Mary Zidtoweski. 

Surviving are a son, Richard, Frackville; a daughter in law, Regina and her husband Thomas Noon, Gordon. 2 grandsons: Vinnie, New York City; and Nicholas, Seattle, Washington. Three great granddaughters: Dorothea, Harper, Isabella. Nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, May 14, 2021 at St. Charles Borromeo, Ashland, PA with Rev. Brian Miller officiating. Interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Fountain Springs, PA. Visitation will be on Friday, May 14 from 9:00-10:00 AM at the church.
