A utility pole was sheared on Thursday afternoon in a crash in Fountain Springs.
Around 12:45pm, emergency personnel were dispatched to Broad Street near Christ Church Cemetery in Fountain Springs, Butler Township, for a motor vehicle accident.
According to Butler Township Police, the vehicle went off the roadway for unknown reasons, struck a utility pole and continued a short distance before pulling to the side of the road.
The female driver of the car was not injured but was evaluated by EMS from Washington Ambulance.
Verizon was called to replace the pole.
Also responding to the scene were members of the Fountain Springs and Lavelle Fire Departments.
A & F Automotive towed the vehicle from the scene.
