A portion of Ashland and Fountain Springs are reported to be without power Friday afternoon in the downtown section of Ashland.
Around 1:15pm, portions of Ashland, Oakland, and Big Mine Run lost power after a tree fell on and knocked down wires near the former Ashland Hospital near Fountain Springs.
At first, nearly 1,000 homes were without power but as of 1:35pm, most had been restored with just 180 remaining in Ashland and Fountain Springs.
Units from Fountain Springs and Lavelle have been called to the tree down.
Power is expected to be restored by 4:30pm.
