Firefighters made quick work of an attic fire in Frackville early Wednesday.
Just before 1:30am, emergency personnel were dispatched to 311 South Broad Mountain Avenue for a house fire.
As crews arrived, smoke was showing from the third story of the home and a working fire issued.
Fire crews from Frackville, Englewood, Altamont, and Mahanoy City responded.
Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire containing it to the attic of the half double home .
Early reports were it was a mattress that caught fire.
All units except for the chief had cleared the scene by 2:30am.
