Firefighters dealt with a shed fire and temperatures near 90 on Monday afternoon.
Around 5:45pm, emergency personnel were dispatched to the area of 51 Stein Road near Mowry for a possible shed fire.
Lavelle Fire Chief Russ Hummel was first to arrive on-scene to find a 2-story shed engulfed in flames threatening a nearby home as well as the brush around the shed.
A 2nd alarm was issued calling in additional units.
The 1st alarm crews on scene were able to contain and extinguish the fire quickly cancelling the 2nd alarm.
The shed was completely destroyed.
Crews remained on scene for over an hour handling overhaul and cleaning up.
There is no word on a cause.
Firefighters from Schuylkill and Northumberland County responded to the scene.
