Schuylkill County Treasurer's Office Reminds Hunters of Doe Application Procedures and Informs About Price Increase

Schuylkill County Treasurer, Linda L. Marchalk is reminding hunters that 2021 Hunting Licenses go on sale Monday, July 12th, 2021.

At this time, 100% Disabled Veterans and Active Duty military hunters (with proof of military status) are encouraged to visit the Treasurer's Office to obtain their hunting license and their ONE guaranteed antlerless license in the WMU of their choice.

Antlerless Deer License sales will begin on Monday, July 12, 2021 for Pennsylvania residents and Monday, July 19th, 2021 for non-residents. Hunters who wish to apply for an antlerless deer license must hold a current hunting license for the 2021-2022 season.

Per Pennsylvania Game Commission regulations, only one license per hunter may be issued in the first round; hunters may apply for a second and third license in subsequent rounds until the supply is exhausted.

The cost for the antlerless license has increased this year and is $6.97 for residents and $26.97 for non-residents. Please put your CID number as well as your phone number on your check or money order made payable to "Schuylkill County Treasurer". Do NOT send cash.

"l encourage hunters to mail their application in the pink envelope provided by the PA Game Commission for Monday July 12th . Applications received before this date will be returned. Please remember to place a first-class stamp on the outer and inner envelopes. If you are applying with others as a group, I suggest submitting separate checks with each application. If two or three applicants apply together with one check, all of the applications may be rejected and returned if there is a problem with any one application or if any WMU is sold out," said Linda L. Marchalk.

Antlerless Deer License Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first served basis through the US Postal system only (and using the pink regulation envelopes)- The Treasurer's Office is not responsible for applications that are not received through the mail. Hunters are encouraged to check the Game Commission website frequently to confirm that his/her application has been processed. If the license allocations for all WMU preferences are sold out, the application will be returned to the hunter. The hunter may apply for another WMCJ where licenses are available by using a new pink envelope.

Just a reminder for Mentored Youth applicants: Mentored Youth are only entitled to ONE Antlerless Deer License; no bonuses.
