Robert L. Lengel, Sr.
, 85, of Mt. Laurel St., Pine Grove, passed away on Sunday, June 13, 2021 at home.

Born on July 16, 1935 in Pine Grove, he was a son of the late John and Katie Stahler Lengel.

He was a graduate of Pine Grove High School and a member of the National Guard in Pine Grove for 11 years.

Robert was a Supervisor for American Argo and then worked for Bill Weber for 19 years.

He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Friedensburg.

Preceding him in death was a brother, James Lengel and a sister, Orphelia Gambler.

Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Janet Reidler Lengel; three sons, Robert Jr. and wife Clare Lengel, Brian and wife Karen Lengel, Christopher Lengel, all of Pine Grove; four grandchildren, Paige Ophelia Lengel, Tyler Robert Lengel and his mother Cindy Lavar, Justin Robert and his wife Maleeva Lengel, Tricia Marie Lengel and fiancé Brian Menchey and their mother Jean and husband David Heckman; a great grandchild, Kaylee Marie Bortner; three step grandchildren, Stephanie Ann Wenrich Leitzel, Rebecca Sue Krause, Michael Sterling Wenrich; a step great great grandchild, Delilah Love; three sisters, Rhea Fetter of California, Aletha and husband Harry Laird of Columbia, and Cordelia and husband Earl Schucker of Lebanon.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 17, 2021 at 11:30 A.M. at the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Pine Grove with Dr. Ira Lydic officiating. There will be a viewing on Thursday, June 17, 2021, from 10:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, c/o Walter Stump 1090 Deturksville Rd. Pine Grove, PA 17963 in his memory.

Trevor S. Miller
, 54 years of age of Tamaqua, Pennsylvania passed away at home while in the loving care of his family on Monday June 14, 2021.

Born Thursday, June 16, 1966 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Chester "Chet" Miller and Mary Lou (Pedro) Miller. He was also preceded in death by stepdaughter, Jamie Napolitano.

Surviving are his fiancée, Jeanette Major; his former wife, Deborah Nahf Miller; children Connor Miller, Rachel Miller ; stepson William Hartranft, husband of Elena; grandchildren Ace and Lola Miller ; Alexandria and Isabella Napolitano; Angelica Shook, wife of Michael; Chelce Hartranft and her fiancé Joseph Oliver; great grandchildren Michael, Makenzey and Damian Shook; Raiven, Arabella and Cayde Oliver; Brother Timothy Miller of Allentown. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Trevor was an avid outdoorsman- hunting, fishing and riding his Harley. He was a son of the American Legion. Trevor was a master carpenter and truck driver.

Joseph James Ricigliano
of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Age 87, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2021. He was born October 9, 1933 in Landingville, Pennsylvania and grew up in Pottsville, Pennsylvania. He was a son of the late Frank and Mary Ricigliano. For 48 years he was the beloved husband of the late Marianna Ricigliano (nee Walukiewicz).

Joseph was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was a lifelong Philadelphia sports fan, and was always excited to discuss his beloved teams. Along with sports, Joseph was passionate about fishing with his children and grandchildren.

Joseph served his country with distinction in the US Army and was a devoted employee in the Radiology Department of Jeanes Hospital for many years before retiring.

Joseph is survived by his three children, Judith Wiater (Dennis Wiater); Robert Ricigliano (Sharon Fiore); and Joseph Ricigliano.

In addition to his children, Joseph is also survived by his four grandchildren. Ashley Wiater, Dennis Wiater, Eric Wiater, and Elyse Ricigliano.

Joseph was pre-deceased by his sisters Tillie Barham and Jeanette Zaber, and his brothers Rick Ricigliano, Patrick Ricigliano and Fred Ricigliano.

Graveside service with military honors will be held on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in the St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights.

Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah is in charge of the arrangements.

Mark H. Hoover
, 89, of Lykens, passed away Sunday, June 13, 2021 at UPMC- Pinnacle, Harrisburg.

Born in Muir, September, 18, 1931, a son of the late Paul and Dorothy Updegrove Hoover. He was a graduate of the former Porter Tower High School. Mark was an Army Veteran of the Korean War.

He was a retired desk clerk from Tallman Supply Company, Muir.

He was a faithful member of the Lykens United Methodist Church, a member of Lykens Fire Company, Gratz VFW and the Williamstown American Legion.

Mark was an avid gardener, who took great pride in the vegetables he grew. He always enjoyed when his grandchildren came to visit with his "grand dogs"

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie E. Welker Hoover, May 10, 2020; two brothers, Floyd and Herbert Hoover; a step-brother, Clarence Unger.

Surviving are his daughter, Janice M. Kibler and her husband, Keith, Lykens; two grandchildren he adored, Kevin Kibler, North Carolina and Marissa Kibler, Chambersburg; two sisters-in-law, Jenny Hoover, Aston, PA and Pauline Hoover, Virginia. Nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at 11:00 am from the Lykens United Methodist Church with Rev. Lori Betsworth officiating. Burial with military honors will be in the Calvary United Methodist Cemetery, Wiconisco. Visitation will be from 10 - 11 am at the church. In lieu of flowers donations in Mark's name should be made to the Lykens United Methodist Church, 527 N. Second Street, Lykens, PA 17048.

Donald D. Frantz, 82, of Ashland, passed away peacefully, Saturday, June 12, at Ridgeview Nursing & Rehab. Center.

He was born June 13, 1938, in Lebanon, son of the late Charles L. and Sarah B. (Eichelberger) Frantz. Donald was a graduate of Lebanon High School and served in the United States Air Force. He was a police officer for the Palmyra Police Department and subsequently worked for Hershey Foods until retirement. Donald enjoyed doing woodworking and working on his scroll saw.

Donald was preceded in death by his wife, Deanna M. Frantz, stepdaughter, Susan Nahodil, great grandchild, Reese Bixler, brothers, Charles Frantz, Marvin Frantz and Bruce Frantz, and sister, Evelyn Kisscadden.

Surviving are his daughter, Cindy Frantz, Palmyra, son, David Frantz, Oklahoma, stepdaughters, Debra, wife of Edward Hine, Lavelle, Deanna, wife of Edward Hogan, Ashland, sister, Alma Willard, Gilbertsville, brother, Allen L. Frantz, Sr., husband of Fae, Taylors, SC, grandchildren, Albert Dumboski, Trista Dumboski, Elliot Hine, husband of Allison, Danielle Bixler, wife of Jason, Zachary Hogan, Matthew Nahodil, Shawn Nahodil and Zack Frantz, great-grandchildren, Matthew Nahodil, Dakota Dumboski, Kruker Bixler and Brody Bixler, nieces and nephews.

Arnold R. Miller, 83, of West Penn Township, entered into eternal rest on Friday, June 11, 2021, at home with his family by his side.

He was the son of the late Leon O. and Gertrude (Kistler) Miller and was born and raised on the family farm where he took great pride, with his wife Kay (Boyer) in raising his family there as well. Along with farming, he also worked for Paul Zehner, Kellner’s, Tam Pallet, as well a driving bus for Kistler Transportation for 20 years before retiring. After retiring he continued to farm for his son Kent. Arnold was a humble man, a hard worker, he had a great sense of humor, and always placed the needs of others first. His smile would light up a room. He loved camping, farming, gardening, and he especially enjoyed spending time with his family. He planted a garden year after year making sure his family always enjoyed the fruits of his labor. In his retired years he would always seem to know when a family member needed a helping hand and would show up at the right moment to assist with so many projects. When he saw a need, he acted on it.

Arnold is survived by his wife Kay (Boyer), six children, Bruce, and his wife Karen (Behler), of Tamaqua, Beverly Miller, of Washington PA, Susan, and her husband Michael Hunsicker, of Tamaqua, Kathy Keich and her companion Gregg Gerko, of Mountain Top, Wayne, and his wife DelAnn (Miller), of Andreas, Kent, and his wife Jennifer (Miller), of Tamaqua; eleven grandchildren, Jason Miller, Nathan Miller, Nicole (Miller) Pentland, Tabitha (Wehr) Eckenrode, Chad Wehr, Joshua Hunsicker, Zachary Hunsicker, Alyssa (Keich) Whiting, Derek Keich, Travis Miller and Mitchell Miller; eleven great grandchildren, Blaze Flyzik, Olivia Miller, Logan Parrish, Macy Hoback, Eleanor Pentland, Madeline Eckenrode, Emma Wehr, Piper Wehr, Mason Hunsicker, Tate Hunsicker, and Tripp Miller; brother, Terry Miller, and his wife Laurie, of Tamaqua; two sisters, Charlotte Solt, of Tamaqua, and Karen, and her husband Gerald Diehl, of Lehighton; nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Steigerwalt and her husband Ernest, and a brother-in-law, Luther Solt.

Services will be held at 11am on Thursday, June 17, at St. Peter’s Church, West Penn, 184 St. Peter’s Rd, Tamaqua, Pa 18252, with Rev. Virginia M. Heimer officiating. Calling hours 9-11am.
