Michael Soucheck, 70, of Ashland and formerly Girardville, passed away on Thursday, June 3rd, 2021 in Ashland.Born in Girardville on October 22nd, 1950, he was the son of the late Michael and Mary “Semanchick” Soucheck.
Michael worked at the former Boly’s Iron Works for many years. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Maizeville, a former social member of the Girardville American Legion, and a member of the Good Fellowship Club -Ashland, Mike enjoyed cooking with family recipes and often shared his meals with his friends at the Hi-Rise, he also was an avid walker.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother – Joseph and a longtime companion -Theresa Barrett.
Surviving is 1 son, Michael Soucheck with his wife Anne – Girardville, 2 daughters, Michelle Connors with her husband Shawn -Girardville and Mary Jo Smulligan -Maryland. 2 sisters, Helen Lutkanin – Hummelstown and Catherine Pauly -Orwigsburg, 7 grandchildren - Curt, Kristen, Mary Ann, Shawn, Michael, Matthew and Colin, 6 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews also survive.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, June 12th from 8am to 10am at the Oravitz Home for Funerals Inc, 40 N. Jardin St, Shenandoah. Parastas services will be conducted at 10am by Father Petro Zvarych. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Englewood-Frackville.

Terry was born in Hegins, on August 1, 1946, a son of the late Kathryn and Ralph "Red" Walter.
He worked as a Foreman at Natural Soil Products
He was of the Protestant faith.
He was a member of the Mahantongo Fire Company and the Woodmen of the World Lodge #433 both of Pitman.
He loved spending time with his family, and also enjoyed hunting, golf cart rides, gardening and racing.
Terry is survived by his wife of 55 years Sandra M. (Kehler) Beaver; a daughter, Sherrie A, wife of James Dengler, of Pitman. a son,Jerry R, husband of Melissa Beaver, of Pitman; a grandson, Elliott M. Beaver and his wife Amber of Allentown, and a granddaughter Kathryn M Sherry, of Austin, TX; two brothers, William "Pidge" Walter and wife Sandy of Frackville, Gary "Knob" Walter and wife Jane of Pitman; one sister, Susan Charkaway and husband John of Pitman; as well as 3 neices, 7 nephews, and godchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother Frank "Butch" Beaver and his beloved furbaby, Rusty.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, June 12, 2021 from 9-11 AM. at Stephen R. Rothermel Funeral Home 1133 Ridge Rd., Klingerstown with the funeral service following at 11:00 AM with Pastor Mark Mantz officiating.

Terrance R "Terry" Beaver, 74, of Pitman, passed away Thursday, June 3. 2021 at his home after an eight year courageous battle with cancer.Terry was born in Hegins, on August 1, 1946, a son of the late Kathryn and Ralph "Red" Walter.
