Four people were flown after a serious head on crash in Barry Township Thursday afternoon.
Just before 6:00pm, emergency personnel were called to the area of 2587 Sunbury Road/Route 901 near the intersection with Taylorsville Road for a motor vehicle accident with entrapment.
Units from Lavelle, Gordon, Ashland, and Minersville fire personnel responded to the scene with medical helicopters going on stand by.
A total of 4 people, two from each vehicle involved, were seriously injured in the crash, one being a juvenile.
The four victims were all transported to the Church of the Nazarene in Lavelle were 2 LifeFlight and 2 Medivac helicopters transported the victims to area hospitals.
As of 9:00pm, Route 901 was still closed with State Police still at the scene investigating and clearing the crash.
Ambulances from Ashland, Minersville, Shenandoah, and Hegins responded to the scene.
