Llewellyn Cubmaster Honored with Unit Leader Award of Merit


Longtime Llewellyn Cubmaster Thomas “Tom” Witmer was honored this past Sunday night with the Boy Scouts of America’s Unit Leader Award of Merit.
The award was presented by Black Rock District Advancement Chair Brenda S. Oliver, Cressona.

Witmer, of Llewellyn, was nominated for this award by his Unit Committee and the award was approved by the BSA Executive and Council President. Witmer has been involved with the organization since 2010 and has been Cubmaster of Pack 600 for nearly 10 years. He has also been the Scoutmaster of Troop 600 since 2020.

The Boy Scouts of America created the Unit Leader Award of Merit to recognize leaders who create and sustain quality program for their community.
