One person was taken to the hospital after a crash in Mahanoy Township Sunday evening.
Around 10:20pm, Sunday, emergency personnel were called to the area of Centre Street and Suffolk Road in Mahanoy Township for a motor vehicle accident with entrapment.
Fire personnel arrived on scene to find a Jeep rolled onto it's roof with the driver trapped inside.
Mahanoy Township Police at the scene said the driver hydroplaned in the rain, lost control, and rolled the vehicle.
The driver was extricated by fire personnel and was transported by Shenandoah Ambulance with minor injuries.
Responding to the scene along with Mahanoy Township Police were the West End Fire and Rescue and Human Fire Companies from Mahanoy City, as well as police from Frackville and Shenandoah.
Route 54 was closed between Centre Street and Shenandoah while the scene was cleared.
All units cleared the scene around 11:00pm.
