Born in Pottsville on November 15, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Mervin & Dorothy (Berger) Yost.
She was the wife of Luther H. Moyer, Sr.
Charlotte was a member of Jerusalem Lutheran Church, Schuylkill Haven. She also belonged to the Cressona American Legion Post #286 Ladies Auxiliary.
Charlotte had worked in the cafeteria at the Blue Mountain Middle School for 33 years.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her brother, Bruce Yost.
In addition to her husband, Charlotte is also survived by two sons: Robert Moyer, of Orwigsburg; & Luther H. Moyer, Jr., of Schuylkill Haven; two daughters: Donna Moyer, of Allenwood; & Kelly, wife of Michael Andes, of Pottsville; 9 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and a brother, Jere, husband of Barbara Yost, of Jacksonville, NC.
Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, July 28th at Geschwindt Stabingas Funeral Home, Inc. in Schuylkill Haven with Rev. David Rowe officiating. Public Viewing will be held from 9:30 AM until the time of service at the funeral home on Wednesday.
Interment will follow at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.

Wilma M. Wagner, 87, of Cressona, passed away Sunday, July 25th, at Seton Manor, Orwigsburg.
Born in Cressona on February 3, 1934, she was a daughter of the late William A. & Mary E. (Padlock) Butts.
She was the widow of Carl F. Wagner.
Wilma was a 1952 Cressona High School graduate.
She was formerly employed by Ace Storm Window Co., and had been the Cressona Borough Tax Collector.
Wilma was a member of St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Schuylkill Haven.She also belonged to the Cressona Historical Society, and the Cressona American Legion Post #286 Ladies Auxiliary.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Schuylkill Haven on August 2nd at 10:30 a.m. A visitation will be held in the chapel from 10 a.m. until the time of mass. Interment will follow at Cressona Cemetery, Cressona.

Scott Irvin Fleagle passed away on July 24, 2021. He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Bainbridge, and sons Benjamin and Jackson Fleagle.
Scott was born in Reading, PA in 1954 to the late Ray H. Fleagle Jr. and the late Lillian Smith Fleagle. He was the fifth of eight children, all of whom remain close today and survive their beloved brother: Bill Fleagle and wife, Cheryl, Schuylkill Haven, PA; Cindy Frost and husband, Dick, Liberty, ME; Glenn Fleagle and wife, Thum, Phuket, Thailand; Mark “Mooker” Fleagle and wife, Colleen, Schuylkill Haven, PA; Karen Wallace and husband, John, Pottsville, PA; Marsha “Mush” Hepler and husband, Steve, Schuylkill Haven, PA; Tom Fleagle, Centreville, MD.
After graduating high school, Scott served in the U.S. Navy as an electrician and deployed to both Europe and the Asia Pacific regions during the Vietnam War. Later, he fought fires for the U.S. Forest Service in New Mexico before studying economics at Ursinus College – a degree he put to use as the owner of Big A Auto Parts in Pottsville, PA for over a decade. After retiring from business, he pursued a variety of projects, including working with carpenters and for the U.S. Census Bureau.
Scott was an avid sportsman and outdoorsman. He was a member of the East End Gun Club and often took biking, kayaking, and road trips, including bicycle trips along the East Coast, from the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean, and around the United Kingdom. He was also a musician; he wrote beautiful music, played guitar and the harmonica, and sang in the locally loved Lewis Fleagle Brothers band for decades, as well as the band, Between Floors.
He was an early bird – early to bed and early to rise – a good listener, and a voracious reader who loved to learn new things. Scott always had a project he was working on, including the so-called “Dumpy House” that he spent years renovating before moving with his family from Schuylkill Haven to New Ringgold. Many family and friends would seek consultation from him on their own house projects, and his advice was often followed by an offer of help with any work.
Scott touched many lives in big and small ways. He will be remembered as a dedicated community leader and family man. He was a member of the New Ringgold Community Fire Company and the American Legion, as well as a Golden Pass holder of the Schuylkill Haven Area School District and a Senior Pass holder of the National Parks Service. He often held fundraisers for autism at the Red Valley Cabin, which he owned with his wife, sister, brother-in-law, and friends and used as a space to bring people together, particularly his family.
A private celebration of Scott’s life will be held at the Red Valley Cabin in August. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you contribute to your local library and conservation efforts.

Born in Pottsville on March 7, 1934, he was a son of the late John and Mary (Sich) Maskerines.
Fred was a member of St. John the Baptist Church, Pottsville.
He worked for the City of Pottsville in the Street Department for over 25 years and in the Maintenance Department at Good Samaritan Hospital for over 20 years, retiring in 1999.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Magdalene P. (Wetzel) on March 1, 2021, and to whom he was married 60 years; brothers: John and Joseph; sisters: Mary, Betty, Veronica, and Anna.
Fred is survived by three daughters, Debra Hrichak, wife of Michael, of Minersville; Diane Naradko, wife of Robert, of Saint Clair; Donna, wife of Kevin Hessler, of Kenhorst; grandchildren: Charles, Peter, Vanessa, Tiffany, Holly, Christopher, and Kevin; 10 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
As a devoted father, he will be deeply missed by his daughters and their families, who he treasured. He spent most of his days phoning them frequently, a time he so cherished. He enjoyed watching sports, especially the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles. He relished activities in the nursing home, especially bingo. He was an avid horse racing fan.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 29th at 11:00 a.m. at Lord-Bixler Funeral Home, Inc., 1818 Mahantongo St., Pottsville, with Deacon Larry Lonergan officiating. A viewing will be held from 9:00 a.m. until time of service in the funeral home.

Interment will follow in Queen of the Universe Cemetery, Saint Clair.

Alda Emerich Kerschner, 92, passed away peacefully on Saturday July 24, 2021, in Redstone Highlands, Murrysville, PA.
Born October 4, 1928 in Pine Grove Township, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Florence Brown Emerich of Pine Grove.
She married Roy Franklin Kerschner in Pine Grove on Christmas Eve, 1953.
Alda graduated from Pine Grove High School in 1946, and the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing in 1949. She received her BS degree in Public School Nursing in 1970 and her M Ed in Guidance and Counseling in 1975 from Slippery Rock University. She was Head Nurse of Maternity at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital from 1949 - 1953; Exodontist Scrub Nurse, 1954; and a member of the original Allegheny General Hospital IV team from 1955-1957. She retired in 1989 from Hampton Twp. School District after serving as an Elementary School Nurse in multiple schools for 20 years.
She was an active member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Gibsonia since 1954. Alda loved spending time with her family, playing the piano, singing, collecting antiques, gardening, and genealogy.
Preceding her in death were her loving husband of 63 years, Roy; a sister Gladys Hikes; and three brothers, Marlin, Robert, and Earl Emerich.
Surviving are her son, David and wife Beth Kerschner, of Murrysville; daughter, Barbara Kerschner, of Cocoa, FL.; four grandchildren, Amy and husband Alex Smith, Daniel Kerschner and Laura Kerschner, all of Murrysville, and Andrew Kerschner of State College; great-granddaughters Joanna and Rosalie Smith; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 31 at 12:00 P.M. at the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Pine Grove with Pastor Brian Beissel officiating. There will be a viewing on Saturday July 31 from 11:00 A.M. until time of service at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Manbeck's Cemetery, Schuylkill Haven.

Carol Ann Furman, 78, of Lavelle, formerly of Frackville, died Saturday July 24, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family.
Born in Shenandoah Heights, August 13, 1942, She was a daughter of the late Albert and Gertrude (Hanlon) Soult.
Carol worked many jobs including Anthony’s Grocery Store, City Shirt, Mahanoy Township and the Frackville Pool.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Frackville, PA
She was preceded in death by her husband David Furman in 2006; Daughter Wendy Stine; 1 Brother Kenneth Soult Sr.; Sister Betty Lou Soult; great grandchildren Autumn, Bentley and Lily.
Surviving are son Brian Furman and his wife Michelle of Lavelle; son Mark Furman of Frackville; brother Gene Soult and his wife Peggy of Barnesville; grandchildren Corey Stine and his fiancé Angel Wetzel; Ariel Furman; Zachary Furman and his wife Bryanna; Kyrsten Furman; Amber Furman; Great Grandchildren Journee Dylan and Oliver Furman; Nieces and Nephews.

Curt E. Stevenson, 69, of Shartlesville, passed away Wednesday, July 21st, at his residence, with his companion Linda and family by his side.
Curt was born in Pottsville, on April 9, 1952, a son of the late Jean Isabelle (Goss) and LaRue LeRoy Stevenson.
He graduated from Pine Grove High School in 1970.Curt also attended the Vo-Tech,Frackville.Curt worked as a Fiberglass Fabricator. He owned his own Boat repair business and after retirement he was employed by Outten Chrysler, in Hamburg, as Parts delivery. He enjoyed owning a number of Hot Rod cars over the years.
In addition to his companion, of over 25 years, Linda Kauffman, Curt is survived by his son, Christopher Allen Stevenson and his Grandchildren Marissa, Matthew, Talon, and Kennedy. Curt also has five Great grandchildren,
Linda's family, which Curt considered his own, which includes Stephanie L. Pappas, wife of George, Steven L. Kauffman, husband of Autumn, Christopher G. Kauffman, husband of Toni.; and 6 grandchildren Cody, Shelby, Evan, Cale, Ayden & Olivia.
Curt is also survived by his siblings Holly, Jan & Bryn and numerous nieces, nephews & cousins.
He was preceded in death by his brother Scott, and Sisters Kathleen & Debra.

She was born on Monday, November 6, 1950, in New Brunswick, NJ, a daughter of the late John W Schrope and the late Ellen M (Klouser) Schrope.
She is survived by her husband Robert A Gaestel.
She is also survived by a brother, Thomas J Schrope of Vestavia Hills, AL; and a sister, Dr Beth A Schrope, MD and her husband Arie Naim of Englewood, NJ; .

Gary was born and raised in Pottsville, Pa on November 7th, 1980 to the late Kathleen Riedel and his surviving father, Robert Riedel.
Gary is leaving behind his four children, Jacob Riedel, Skylar Riedel, Aubrey Smith, and David Smith. His siblings, Robert Riedel and his wife of Oklahoma, Michael and Kimberly Riedel of Tennessee, David Riedel of Chambersburg, Daniel and Leandra Hartnett of Gordon, Deanna Hartnett of Shenandoah, and Megan Hartnett of Girardville. Many loving nieces and nephews survive. He also leaves behind his dog, Mercedes and the love of his life, Melissa Riedel.
Gary was always a considerate man who was willing to help anyone in need. He was that man with a contagious smile and infectious laugh. He had an outstanding personality. Gary was a “jack of all trades and master of none”, as he said to his family and friends. Gary had a love for his family and friends. He was the kind of man who called to check up and check in. He had a heart of gold.
A visitation for family and friends will take place on Wednesday evening, July 28th at the Oravitz Home for Funerals Inc, 40 N. Jardin St, Shenandoah from 6 to 8pm. Scripture services will be conducted at 7:30pm by Pastor Mindy Heppe.

Mary Jane E. Sterling, 76, of Summit Hill and formerly of Lehighton, passed away on Monday, July 26, 2021.
Born in Summit Hill, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Mary (Knittle) Gardiner. Prior to retiring, she was employed as a sewing machine operator for the former Tom’s Sportswear Inc., Lehighton. Mary Jane was a member and organist at Ebenezer E.C. Church, Jim Thorpe, and she also did missionary work in Scotland. She was a Girl Scout Leader for several years, a piano teacher and played accordion in several local string bands. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Peter and William Gardiner, a sister, Agnelamae Gardiner, and a granddaughter.
Surviving are two sons, Arthur Jr., and his wife Tonya, of New Ringgold, and Edward, and his wife Stephanie, of Summit Hill; two daughters, Ruth Sterling, and her fiancé Eric Sheeran, of Kresgeville, and Karen Sterling, and her fiancé, Eugene Crostley, of Franklin Township; sister, Sarah Ann Yurkunas-Dalton, and her husband Jonathan, of Lehighton; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 12pm on Saturday, August 14, at the Long Run Church of Brethren, 2218 Long Run Rd, Lehighton, PA 18235, with the Rev. Joel Hershey and Rev. Nathan Kennedy officiating.
