Raymond “Kenny” Wayne, 56, Ashland, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Wednesday, July 28th.Born in Pottstown, he was the son of the late Dolores Corrigan Wayne and Raymond Wayne, Girardville.
Kenny had a wonderful sense of humor, was talented and creative in music and art, loved animals and had a kind and gentle spirit.
Kenny is survived by his father Raymond and his wife Rose Ann Wayne, Girardville; his sister, Maryann Wayne, New York and by loving aunts and uncles, Jeanette Roscoe, Kulpmont; Karen Corrigan, Frackville; Joseph Wayne, Girardville along with numerous cousins.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 4th at 11 a.m. from St. Vincent dePaul Church, Girardville with Rev. Brian Miller, pastor, as the celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Fountain Springs.

Deirdre O'Connor Guthrie, 71, of Gloucester, North Carolina, formerly of Pottsville, passed away on Saturday, July 24, 2021, in North Carolina.
Born on April 12, 1950, in Belfast, Northern Ireland, she was a daughter of the late Desmond and Jean (McDonnell) O’Connor. At the age of 20, she and her family came to the United States due to political conflicts in Ireland at that time. Even though she lived in the United States for over 50 years, she stayed true to her beloved Irish heritage through many activities, including instructing students of Ceili dance on a part-time basis.
While in Schuylkill County, she was employed at Rest Haven. Her caring nature was evident through her work as a caregiver where she assisted numerous people over three decades. Deirdre took great pride in her yard, her love of gardening made sure she kept her home in tip top shape.
She was preceded in death in 1979 by her first husband, John M. McGowan, formerly of Shenandoah, to whom she was married in 1971. She was also preceded by a brother, Desmond O’Connor, in infancy, and a brother-in-law, Paul Bayliss.
She is survived by her husband, James Guthrie; two daughters, Fiona Maureen, North Carolina, and Roisin McGowan, Coatesville; a son, James “Jamie” Guthrie Jr. North Carolina; sisters, Noreen Bayliff, Shenandoah, Oonagh McCune (spouse, Paddy), Michigan, and Patricia Kramer (spouse, Charles), Minersville; a brother, Damian O’Connor (spouse, Mary), Michigan; three grandchildren; a great granddaughter; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services were held in North Carolina.

She was born on Tuesday, June 21, 1932, in Dornsife, a daughter of the late Edwin L Herb and the late Ida M (Rebuck) Herb.
Laura was a seamstress in area garment factories prior to her retirement.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran "Klinger's" Church, Erdman; where she was very active in the Rainbow Class.
Her husband Wallace E Knorr passed away in 2012. She was also preceded in death by her parents and by a daughter, Virginia E Knorr.
She is survived by two sons, Randy Herb and his wife Debra of Gratz, and Leonard Knorr and his wife Karen of Dillsburg; a daughter, Julie Derck and her husband Rick of Shamokin; five grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; a sister, Minerva Starr of Valley View; a nephew, Dennis Starr of Valley View; and a niece, Donna Sitlinger of Valley View; .
Services will be held at Zion Lutheran "Klinger's" Church, Erdman, on Friday, August 6, 2021, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Jonathan Jenkins officiating.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Friday at the church.
Burial will be made in Zion Lutheran "Klinger's" Cemetery, Erdman.
